Again, I think Tripadvisor should change its rating system so that a "good" rating could be included, as this is the kind of hotel that is neither average, not very-very good. However, due to a previous not-too-good experience in a 70s-built five-star hotel in Iran, I must admit my expectations were quite low, so I was positively surprised by the... More

I spent one night in that hotel. The room was big enough, nice balcony but unfortunately Zayande-rood river has now water. No free wireless or cable internet is available in rooms and it's disappointing for a 5 star hotel. One night stay for a couple room costs about 120$ and it's very expensive for such a hotel. Breakfast is varied... More

I spent only one night in that hotel, it's elegant in European Style with a very distinguished modern style of decoration. The room is large with 2 separated single beds with cotton bed sheets and beautiful covers. Bathroom is big and so clean. A cable TV is available but as most of the hotels in Iran you find only news... More

What I am suprised is Esfahan is much more pleasent city than Tehran. Th city itself has a soul and people seems more relaxed and happy here. Kowsar is in the center right in front of the wadi where there is a historic bridge on it. It is centerally located thus you may walk anywher you want. The rooms are... More

Front desk staff polite and helpful but restaurant staff did not really understand the concept of customer service. Waiters required repeated requests to take orders. Coffee shop was better and served real ground coffee. Food was ok but the business centre made several mistakes regarding internet charges. Internet access is via a prepaid card and is more expensive than elsewhere... More

This hotel is situated by the river in the southern part of the beautiful city of Isfahan. It is locally rated as 5 star but it would not meet Western 5 star standards. The rooms are large. The service is OK. The food is bland. There is no pool. Lots of little things dont work - what do you expect... More

Indeed , Esfahan was the best city that I visited in Iran : Magic , brightful , envolvong. I found this hotel at lonely planet guide book and decided to check it out. There was no need of reservation and they gave me a room at a higher floor with a stunning view to Si-o-Se bridge , the park ,... More

We did our reservation through an agency for 3 people. We paid all fee for room and breakfast. At the time of check out they charged us more. They said they have changed their rate! I traveled all around the world, and I never saw such a thing. I believe this is cheating. If I knew they were going to... More

I would not really recommend staying at the Kowsar hotel, as it is comfortable but mostly bland and Esfahan has so much better to offer in terms of hotels. Especially the Abbasi, which is where I recommend any first time visitor stay. However, make sure you have Friday Brunch at the Kowsar. It is well worth it, not just for... More

My husband and I travelled for 11 days in Iran and spent 4 nights at the Kowsar. Rooms have a western decor style and were clean and comfortable. The hotel is located near the river and provides a quiet refuge away from the bustle of the city. The views from the top floor at the front are spectaculer at night.... More
