I couldn't get into a festival city hotel so decided to stay here. Oh my goodness! Hotel was run down and generally 'scabby'. But when I spoke with the management I learned that it is being renovated.
But the staff is good and the hotel is very close to the metro station - always fun for an outsider to travel...

Stayed here recently on holiday, the hotel is around 20 mins from airport and 25 mins to sea front by taxi. Our room was clean and comfortable and the beds were very soft and we slept really well. I spent two nights in this hotel in March 2012.
The staff found out it was my birthday and surprised me with a cake and a birthday card signed by the manager.
The facility was very nice, the dinner buffet was excellent and the location offered several good restaurants within walking distance.
I will definitely stay at the Crowne Plaza...
