Wonderful design and atmosphere, this is a great hotel with great service. All details have been paid attention to, from the lobby entrance to the excellent pool. We had a spacious room and bath overlooking the pool. We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Our room was a welcome relief after touring all day. Still, the place... More

First off, just a little about ourselves because I think it's always important. Everyone travels differently so hopefully my description helps ppl who travel similar to what my wife and I do. We are a young married couple, no kids, both working professionals. We travel often, 2-3 trips a year, mainly international outside of N America. We tend to travel... More

Spent three glorious days at this exceptional hotel. The rooms are nicely appointed (but could use some better lighting). The breakfast buffet has all you could want, and the spa is not to be missed. The best thing about the Sothea is the staff. To a one they are pleasant, helpful, and great ambassadors for the hotel and Cambodia! You... More

Althea is a boutique hotel with topnotch service. Quiet., peaceful, with good, functional AC, it is a wonderful base for Multi-day explorations of Angkor Wat and Siem Reap. Breakfast included, Spa, exercise room, gift shop, salt water pool, and lovely grounds. Rooms are large and beautiful. More

While I was a bit concerned when I heard about the change of management that occurred between the time I made a reservation for my friends and myself and the time we would arrive in Siem Reap, the concern was needless....the staff has been consistently pleasant, efficient and capable. More than that, the facility itself is simply superb -- very... More

this place was by far the nicest place that we stayed at in Cambodia. The Staff are so friendly and welcoming. they also have a free Tuk tuk service in and out of town which was really helpful. the Hotel isn't like the huge unfriendly looking resorts that surround Siem Reap which was such a nice change. The breakfast here... More

Last week, I stayed at Sothea Hotel. There are a lot of problem there. I note one problem. All the existing staffs become new staffs after the termination of Allila. The staffs must to sign new contract and have 3 months probation as new staffs. Some staff cannot get the salary. So, should we share our time with The Sothea... More

I have read your review and appreciate the concern you have for our staff. Our staff has always been our highest priority. Majority of our team members have been with us since opening, even before we engaged a management company. Even within our department heads, most have been here for at least 2 years. We remain committed to promoting their... More

Initially, we were very concerned on hearing that instead of Allilla Southea, whom we had booked with, we were to stay at The Southea, (change of management) however there was nothing to worry about. From our butler Soley, to the driver, the chef who gave me a market tour and cooking class, to the lovely restaurant staff, we were pampered... More

I recently stayed at the Alila Sothea at a friend's suggestion during my first visit to Siem Reap and it was so beautiful and relaxing that I just had to write a review. From the beautiful lotus bouquet presented upon arrival to the gorgeous rooms that included a tub, shower and outdoor rain shower complete with a selection of scented... More

We both had a great stay at the Alila Sothea Suites few weeks ago. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was incredible. We were a little worried about the hotel being located near the main road a bit far from town in Siem Reap, but this was not an issue. It was a short tuk-tuk ride to the touristy areas... More
