I stayed at the Parklane in the beginning of March 2013. The location is good, but not on the main drag. Which is good to get a quiet night's sleep. Very nice and friendly staff who always ask if everything was alright or if you need anything. Rooms were very clean and comfortable and overall very quiet. Located close to main market and restaurant/bar area..about 10 minute walk. However if a single male, take tuk tuk home at night ($1) to avoid being groped by teams of female(looking) pick pockets.

This hotel for the price was quite nice. It was clean and had a great breakfast. The staff here was very helpful. It was a 10 min walk to the main area but there was always a tuk tuk who would take you for $1. I will definitely stay here again when I go back.
