I came with no expectation and was quite impressed by this local hotel. The lobby is modestly grand. Staff was extremely friendly. The room is Asian contemporary style. Lighting is work friendly. It has a separate study area. Bedding is actually better my stay at JW Marriott Hangzhou last night. Overall, good value for money.

I loved visiting Weihai! It is a beautiful mid-sized city on the ocean. The hotel Weihaiwei was Excellent! The room was well maintained, had a beautiful view, and the staff was very courteous. There was smoking in the hallway but it didn't seem to permeate my room. The one issue I had is the staff's English was limited but we made due. The same is true for the city. Many people have studied English but not many have enough mastery to communicate well. I would highly recommend a translator or decent command of Mandarin if going there alone. The restaurant provided a good selection of authentic Chinese cuisine. Try the sea cucumber, I'm told they are very nutritious.

First I notice that I was in a very recent building different from the one referred in both TripAdvisor and Booking. Brand new, with some gorgeus interiors, few steps far from the older one, always in the true town centre and closer to the sea shore. The rooms, different each other, are simply perfect: large, with new refined furniture and lights. Only limitation, as all the hotels where I stayed in China, is the breakfast buffet, gorgeus but without international choice. Chinese food is lovely, but after some days soaked into soy-sauce many western visitors would like to recover some western taste. Their body needs it! Here no sign of pastries, no scrambled eggs, and awful coffe, despite almost all the coffee machines used to prepare excellent italian espresso are "made in China". Purchase one of them, please, add one fresh baked danish pastry and let us start better our day in China.

I've been in Weihai 4 time every year for the last 7 years and this is by far the best hotel in town to me. First of all we need to make clear that there are 2 Weihaiwei and I'm talking about the new Weihaiwei, the one right in front of the sea, not the old one in downtown. Rooms are great, a lot of space and very comfortable bed. Wifi works good and it is quite fast compared to the average Chinese connection. Food is quite nice, and if you want you can walk to the big shopping mall just around the corner where you can find plenty of restaurants and some nice shopping. You can also have some good relax in the hotel, SPA is nice and the gym is new and we'll equipped.

Stayed 3 nights located close to shopping center, restaurants and a market building around the corner. Rooms are comfortable except weather was warm 28 degrees and room facing afternoon sun got hot and airconditioner was not operating.I was told it is not the season yet for airconditioners, so they are not turned on???? I was provided a pedestal fan. Not good!! Was surprised to see the restaurant had an advertisement in the lift for a banned and poisionous Globe(Puffer ) Fish???

Stayed for 3 nights.Big hotel in the city center. 10 Minutes from the sea side. 5 min from the shopping moll, restaurants and supermarket. Quite nice place - huge bed, clean linen. Breakfast included in room price - you may choose buffet breakfast in chineese style or european food. Rooms are equipped with all necessary. Nice quality furniture. Pleasant personnel willing to help. From minuses: allowed to smoke in rooms, not very clean bath (noticed hair from previous visitor), poor wi-fi, too many attention from personnel (knocked in the door few times giving fruits and sweeties) before i put indicator "do not disturb"

We had to share the room at Weihaiwei even when the room was cheaply priced. However, the room size would have accommodated another 2 people. Big lavish beds, sparkling clean washrooms, Internet connectivity and an amazing spa. Everything is good about the hotel.Made like a dwelling house, the hotel has a lot of colour all around. The conference room, breakfast centres, coffee house and the bar were great value for money. The Hot Pot and the chinese restaurant were perfect places to learn chinese etiquette and a stroll round the road would take you to the Happiness gate and local markets. They will accept credit cards and cash currency at reasonable exchange price.

This hotel is well located, but it's a little run-down. The rooms are big and the bathrooms are nice with a lot of amenities. There is a cheap, very good, massage facility on site. There are 2 breakfast rooms, one western, one chinese, neither is great but the chinese breakfast is better. We had dinner in the chinese restaurant once, not bad, but we didn't try any of the others. Lot's of entertainment options here, pub/bar, KTV, shopping, etc

This hotel is run down and stinky. This is not a place that is up to western standards. The "free breakfast" was toast and juice. No one spoke any english. We satyed there for only 8hrs ( from 12 a.m. to 8 a.m. ) and check out 7 days early. We we went to pay our bill we were charged 3000RMB for use of the gym! Neither my colleague nor myself used the gym. I would not recommend this hotel. The Center Hotel is very near by, and is less expensive and cleaner.
