Stayed here four days. Internet good downstairs but intermittent upstairs. Think it will be fixed soon. Aircon okay, but could be cooler, this is very important if you visiting Cartagena as it is hot with high rates of humidity. Large electronic keypad safe in room.
The large front timber door is usually closed for security into the inner courtyard, also...

Our room had a beautiful balcony overlooking colonial street/buildings. Wonderful old world house with lots of patina. Gabriel Garcia Marquez' house up the street. Rooms simple, but spacious (on the first floor). Nice and helpful staff. Quite expensive, but worth it for it's absolutely spot on location in this fantastic city. We enjoyed every minute of our one week stay.

I truly enjoyed the hotel.
We bought the suite (room 206, fantastic!) but unfortunately the AC gave out at night as we were getting ready to go to sleep. The staff moved us to one of the smaller...

Casa Curato is located on a quiet street in the historic part of Cartegena. A block or so from two pretty plazas and several good restaurants, and no more than a 10 minute walk to any of the popular sights/restaurants in the old city.
The rooms are nothing to write home about. Spartan, small, no frills, but adequate if you...

My husband and I booked Casa Curato because the location was fantastic and it was the least expensive option during the last week of December (that week is the highest of the high season). Well, we definitely got what we paid for. We tried switching hotels but everything was booked at that point.
The hotel was clean, but the owner...
