I am so glad we booked Salt Lake Lodge for our honey moon. Firstly because it is not on the main Island and its big holiday resorts that could be anywhere in the world really. We found at Sonja and Andrew's place exactly what we were looking for: Peace, comfort, seclusion and at the same time an open door to... More

We made reservations at Salt Lake and paid for the lodge well before we arrived. When we got there, there had been a terrible rain storm and the beach area was virtually washed away. Sonja offered us a full refund to stay elsewhere and we did so (Daku Resort). They are very nice people and they did not have to... More

My wife and I stayed for a week. Not long enough. Absolutely excellent place, eco friendly, and great for fishing. What everybody else said in trip advisor reports is absolutely true. Sonia and Andrew are great people who made the whole trip and experience worthy of high praise......and Dee is a great cook. Helped with the shopping when we went... More

Spent two weeks here with wife, adult daughter and her husband. Located on a short river between Salt Lake and the ocean, in an idyllic setting. Unit consists of two separated areas, with common kitchen, dining areas, restroom and day shower. There is also another complete bathroom, with solar hot water (nice), lighting, toilets. Toilets are composting toilets, don't let... More

Loved this place. Very private and relaxing. If you wanted to watch the river go by you could or if you wanted to kayak, fish, swim that was another option. We can not wait to go back.

The Salt Lake Lodge is awesome. We just got back and miss it already. Andrew ensured we were comfortable right at the start. Dee (our terrific cook) cooked us some wonderful meals and taught us a lot about Fiji. The fishing was good. I recommend bringing a fishing pole and tackle. I was forced to catch my fish on the... My wife, 2 kids (age 4 and 6) and I stayed at Salt Lake Lodge from Dec 30th to Jan 5th and wished we stayed longer. The place was awesome for us. The Kingfisher room had a double bed, a single bed and a loft which my 6 year old absolutely loved. We really liked the sustainability aspect of the... More

If you are after five star and silver service resort, this is not for you. But if you want serenity, beautiful surrounds and confident you were genuinely eco-friendly this is a top recommendation. You will have the place to yourself and the assistance of a staff member to do whatever you want. The hosts Andrew and Sonja and are just... More

We stayed at Salt Lake lodge for our honeymoon- my husband booked it and surprised me with the location on the flight out to Fiji- boy, did he do well! We couldn't have asked for a better place for relaxing after the wedding. The setting is gorgeous- palm trees, a beach, a shaded pontoon with sun loungers, babbling tropical water-... More
