Hi there After being told about nananu-i-ra by a few friends who have already visited the place - I really am interested to come over for a visit myself - very soon. My friends had mostly good things to say but I have also read comments by tourists who were not at all satisfied with the services and the place.... More

We took the local buses from nadi to rakiraki which was an experience all on it's own but rob knew we were coming so he had a taxi meet us at the bus depo and take us shopping which we did not at the time know why?? So we only got a few things and off we went to the... More

... If that's what you want - peace, privacy, daily independance, just a really good rest, or a quiet break with the kids, then Betham's is your spot! It's on the calm water side of Nananu-I-Ra island where the water is like glass and beautifully safe for all the sedate water activies available; and everyone gets a kick out of... More

Nananu-i-ra is truly a beautiful island getaway. We informed Betham's of what bus we would be arriving on and they arranged a taxi to meet us. The taxi driver charged a bit more ($15, as opposed to about $9 meter rate), but we did not mind too much, as we made him wait with our heavy bags while we did... More

Family from Sydney Aust went to Bethams and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were in cabin 2 - twenty steps and we were in the water. We stayed for 5 nights (2A & 2C - 8 and 4 yrs) - No Tv, phone etc - so good to be away from everything. Rob and Kate were excellent hosts. Rob organised our... More

We booked just a few days ahead, no problem. Had learned ahead of time that little was available on the island in the way of groceries, so picked some things up in Rakiraki prior to coming out. Called when bus was pulling into Rakiraki, caught a cab to the wharf after shopping and Bob was waiting there for us. Booked... More

Situated on a calm Pacific cove, Betham's is perfect for snorkelling with damselfish; Papoo Divers picked up guests at the jetty in the morning. Room temp showers--plenty of sparkly fresh rain water in the tank; kitchenette burner heated water easily, Electricity turned off late at bedtime (use small flashlight). Soon alpha Centauri and beta Centauri lit up the reef; everyone... More

We had stayed at Denarau for 5 nights which was excellent. Travelled to Rakiraki by local bus's which was a great way to see various villages, towns and experience some Fiji driving. We arrived at Rakiraki a little jaded and were inundated by taxi drivers,we agreed to go with the first one that met us, however another chap came rushing... More

First time holiday to Fiji, first week spent on Naigani Island restort, what a great place , Bethams was no match to this resort. We arrived at Ellington via Kings road, great trip. Red boat there to pick us up, off to a great start then it all went down hill from here. Arriving on the island. staff met us... More

Nananu-i-ra island is absolutely lovely, and likely to stay that way because it's so difficult to get to - two buses from Nadi, a taxi and a ferry, taking around half a day of travelling in searing heat. I stayed at Betham's which is run by Bob, who is a great guy. The chalet was spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately our... More
