We stayed for 4 nights at Hotel Empire (Central Street). The stay was really nice and so are the staff, excellent location for shopping commercial street is just 5 mins walk. The food was simply awesome you get food till 2 am ;-)

Location is very convenient and easy to find. Food and service is good. But it scores low on cleanliness. There were bed bugs in my room which disturbed my sleep. Also the reception and lobby is extremely cramped. Staff is helpful and polite.

The hotel is located very near to several shopping malls, restaurants, Metro Station, supermarkets, hotels, cinema, etc. with all modes of transportation available nearby. A perfect place to stay for all sorts of trips.

I had two stays of 3 days each at the Empire on a recent trip to India in Dec.2012. First in room 411 - eveything was new , the a/c worked perfectly as did the fan. The hotel is less than 10 mins walk from MG Rd, so you save Rs600 per day over the Empire International in Church Street.... More
