Very clean and well maintained place. Food was awesome and hospitality was at its best. Stayed there on 31st and 1st June 2013 and enjoyed every minute of my stay there. You will never believe that the house is about 250 years old, awesome wood works.

Enough has been already written on what makes a stay in Gonakal memorable and a must repeat experience. I have just returned from it this evening. This was our first experience in a Homestay and we were lucky we chose Gonakal. The challenge for this new (1.5 years old) home-stay is to keep up its standards and the warmth of... More

Gonakal is about a km prior to Thogarihankal on Tarikere road when coming from Kaimara. The homestay is about 1.5 kms inside from the main road . This certainly gives it a mystic and rugged look. I checked in around 1:00pm , the welcome drink and lunch was good. There was no electricity , the whole day , right from 14:00pm... More

This is a 300 year old bungalow kept in top notch condition. Here's why you'll love this place: - The hosts - uncle and aunty - are like family. Very helpful, kind, tolerant and non-interfering. - The bungalow is beautiful with very well kept rooms and clean toilets. - There is a nice porch upfront to chill out and watch... More

Before the summer sets in, we wanted to do our last road trip and we picked this place based on the reviews. It certainly lived up to the reviews. The homestay is in the midst of the coffee plantation that almost resembles as forest, its filled with trees which look 100s of years old and the coffee plantation is completely... More

I and my wife decided Chikamaglur for new year celebration. After some googling we decided to go ahead with Gonakal. We are extremely happy to take this decision. Anudeep was very courtoeus, honest and proactive from the day I contacted him. His mom prepares awesome food and dad pampers the guest a lot. Couldnt have asked for more. We were... More

We had one weekend stay at this place. This will be a very good option if you are looking for a quite, serene and homely place. The view from the house is amazingly beautiful. Mulyangiri and Kemmangundi are around 40km from this place and you must visit these two places if you are going there. We spent most of the... More
