Compared to other places in Kerala Chiramal Residency did not give good value for money. The rooms are OK, some of them are furnished in an old colonial style. The breakfast was the worst I got while travelling India for 5 month. The staff / owner were very unfriendly. They gave the impression that we are a disturbance. Far too... More

Its all been said in the other review I have read on this page. Chiramel is an architectural delight and the rooms are large and comfortable. The area is pleasant to walk around with a number of good and very good places to eat. We stayed for 3 days and were sorry to leave. As this was our first place... More

We stayed here for 3 nights are part of a tour of India - staying on the ground floor of the main house. Positives: + very high service levels - helpful and friendly team family run + very clean rooms and communal areas + lovely breakfast served outside your room in the mornings - really delicious + free WiFi +... I can't add much to what has already been written about this place. It's a great B&B in Fort Kochi. It's very clean with a nice internal courtyard. We went for a non-AC standard room (we found no need for A/C in January), which was perfect for our needs. The breakfasts are western - i.e. eggs, toast cereal, but I... More

This hotel was great value and included an excellent breakfast. The owner is a quiet but kind woman who is very sweet. The room was very clean and quiet. The building itself is a heritage house and is very charming with a courtyard at the back. The male staff member was a little too persistent about tours etc for my... More

We arrived at the Chiramel Residency at 5am in the morning, after coming off an overnight train. We were tired, grumpy, and the taxi driver had no clue where it was! When we finally found it, were were shown to our room. The inside of the Residency was jaw dropping- lovely dark wood and elegant furnishings. Our hopes lifted, and... More

We stayed one night in Chiramel.I booked the room in advance and no payment was needed. We stayed in 2 rooms, both with extra beds for the children (not the folded ones but real comfortable single bed..)The place is very cosy, clean, quiet and friendly. I will certainly be there again next time and I recommend it highly. More

We stayed here for 7 nights recently, two adults and a 4yr old child. We paid 2500rps for a large, bright and clean room in the new block. It was a lovely room and 300rps cheaper than one in the old part, which we found to be a bit gloomy. Breakfast came with the room and was served in a... More

I stayed in the Chiramel Residency for a few days and would really recommend it. It is in one of the old Malabar-style houses that are dotted around Fort Cochin, very central, and offers a couple of different room types depending on your budget. I was unfortunately on a tight budget so couldn't go for the gorgeous double room but... More

We stayed for 2 nights at this homestay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They made us feel very at home. This is their home after all. Breakfast was basic but good. You have to order it the evening before and you have to choose what you want. There are the basics such as juice, toast, eggs etc. The... More
