I stayed for a week in this hotel. Room service and reception are poor. Don't use the telephone in the room. telephone bill will be more than your room rent they charge you Rs. 10/ per min, food is excellent and the location is very good. I think there is no enough staff for room service . the reply from... More

The rooms were great even-though they were aged. Excellent food even though price was on the higher side. House keeping and room service were spot on. Received hot water in less than 5 minutes after ordering. More

Thanks very much for the review on trip advisor. The hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Ernakulam, started way back in early 1960s, but we have kept ourselves modern with the times and its being done on a regular basis. May be you might have got a room thats not revamped quite recently, we are sorry for that.... More

The Hotel is good. The rooms are pretty spacious. Worth the money. It has a nice Coffee House but the restuarant is completely and seriously only vegetarian. The breakfast was pretty good with the traditional Kerelan items. They do serve Cornflakes and Toasts if you want to have something more continental. The special meal also is nice if you want... We needed a place to stay for 2 days. Front desk was helpful enough. The room was big enough and there was a veg. restaurant downstairs- actually 2 of them one for the guests (breakfast included with stay) and another open for all. - standard veg. fare- clean, and tasty but was too spicy for us. The room service was... More

For authentic Malyalee breakfast.. I cannot recommend a better place. The buffet had Puttu, Vadas, Idlis, variety of chutneys and the works. We opted for Ala Carte, the vadas were crisp and Idlis just soft. The sambar is a typical malyalee so spicy. The coconut chutney was a tad dissappointing.. too watery. The Kappi was very original, ended up having... More

To be honest, I don't understand why this hotel is rated good by other reviewers. The corridors leading to the room are dark and scary. Walking to our room was like walking through a maze of dark corridors! Similarly, the bathroom was dark as well! Everything in here looks old & need refurbishing! Food was not up to the par... More

BTH as Bharat Hotel is known is my first choice in Ernakulam, especially if you are traveling on a budget but want a clean, efficient hotel. Their rooms are very clean, food is vegetarian and the best in Kochi. Well located especially if you travel by train - 10 mins walk, 5 mins by taxi/auto. Food choice is across South... More
