I was wary of this place as soon as I booked, as I contacted them several times asking if they could organise an airport pickup, and making sure I could check in late, but after 5 emails - 0 responses. A friend that lives in Bali organised a pickup for me, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only was there a nice friendly staff member there when I arrived, but I actually had a booking (never got a confirmation). I booked here for the location, but left the next day even though I had booked (and paid on arrival) for longer. As soon as I walked in the room I was blasted with the stench of mould and mildew, there was the sound of water running through my room the whole time. The bed was a noisy mushy spring thing with pillows a foot thick with the consistency of bricks, the bottom sheet was stained and there was no other sheet to protect me from the dodgy doona. Oh, and the air con seemed to have two settings - off, or ice. I had it as high as it could go, and found myself sleeping in Antarctica, so turned it off to add another layer of sweat to the already dank mattress. Only reason it got the 2nd star was the location, and the hot girl swimming in the pool. Glad to be out of there.

We stayed at Kubu hotel last Jan 9-11, 2019 and I can say it is worth it as a budget traveler. The place is quiet being located inside the poppies street having not so much guest in it but the staff are very accommodating and their facilities offer comfortable stay for every guest thought they offer the same breakfast everyday of a toasted bread with egg or yam and a choice of coffee or tea. Thanks Kubu for making our stay comfortable with.

The hotel itself looked great from the outside. The staff were equally helpful. The downside though was our room. We had the standard room and it was filthy! It also felt unsecured as our door leading to our balcony was broken. Stuff from the bathroom was also broken as well as the windows. Bad stay.

I and my friend booked the hotel for 12 nights and I regret my decision, as I did it each day there during the stay. In 12 nights we had to change into 4 rooms because of the issues the room had. Room no 104 second night and bed was full of bed bugs. Room no 108 second night and the air con never worked. Room no 109 one night and it was bed bugs again. Room no 107 and once again problems with aircon. Finally the room 280 for last three nights but it was the time where I and my friend gave up on complains. The staff said they can't do anything and the owner never was ready to listen. Horrible experience if I couldn't let it not trouble my holidays. The hotel management needs to know, guest must be given care and thought of if they want us back ever again. I would give negative rankings if allowed.

Just vacated the place. They say a picture paints a thousand words. Firstly what you see with the Two beds by the pool that's all it is. With a multi roomed Hotel and Hostel Two sun loungers. The third one was broke. That is the only area the Sun goes on and that would be for a short while. The breakfast was embarrassing to say the least. The rooms are very very small, No fridge in room to keep anything cold. The TV is only in Indo. There is no top sheet just cover (Not sure how often that's cleaned) The drainage in the Bathroom needs sorting out. This is a classic one.. In the afternoon I asked for a cup of Hot Water, were the lad said it wasn't allowed as Management didn't approve. Hot Water. !!!!! And to top it of, I had to ask people outside the room at 11pm then at 2pm if they wouldn't mind keeping the noise down, very loud and bottles being broken. Recommend the Hotel has more mature night security, instead of Two young (and I mean) lads to control people who had a drink. Overall would not recommend staying there when there are places close by with better deals.

I arrived here my 3rd day in Bali and I was stressed because my last place fell through and then my cab driver charged me way more than he was supposed too. Heny, the girl at the front desk, was so accommodating, friendly, and immediately put me at ease. I got a great room for a cheap price. Right in the centre of kuta! I recommend :)

We only stayed there for a night as the location was pretty good for us. Overall is good but you might get something better for the same price. Nice pool and breakfast included (a bit poor, they could make an upgrade to the options). It wasn't well organized as they made us wait a lot for our room to be ready. There was only hot water the first day. Nice balcony, basic but nice room, toilet door needs a good clean.

I stayed in superior room. The room is spacious enough and clean. the wardrobe has no doors. it's just like something to hang your clothes on. the lock of the balcony door of my door was broken so the door wasn't completely closed. there were people talking and laughing so loud that I could hear it from my room. the bathroom is not so big. shower has low water pressure, no hot water, and the door couldn't be locked. The bed is comfortable and clean tho. there's not much choice of breakfast. Just Bread with eggs, fresh fruits, and tea or coffee. should add more menu.

This place is "hidden" between poppy lane 1 and 2. Simple and clean room. Friendly staff and fast check in. I arrived about 10:30am and i'm in the room within 15 mins. Nice pool and free simple breakfast. 10mins walk to the beach and 5 mins walk to Legian street.
