This is a very budget-friendly place to stay. The rooms were ok. I really liked the pool and poolside bar and the lawn as well. Great for kids and Adults as well. They serve a standard breakfast set menu. But that's fine, cannot complain. Anyways you have tons of options to eat just a step away from the hotel. Can walk to the Kuta beach in 10 minutes and there a whole shopping market in and around the area. The rooms are quiet which are facing the lawn.

Upon arrival you would be excused for thinking, what have I got myself into! Then, you walk through to reception and the magic begins. This place is absolutely beautiful. The greenest grass, the most amazing tropical gardens, lovely pool area with banana lounges right around the pool and, a swim up bar. The restaurant is equally lovely. Staff could not be more friendly and accommodating. Such kind and generous people. Then there's the food. Oh my goodness....the food. This restaurant's food is cooked on site from fresh ingredients and presented for the eyes to delight in. You could be forgiven for thinking you were dining at a 5* restaurant.

My partner and I along with a big group of friends all stayed in Matahari Bungalows and we had the best time! You really don't expect this beautiful place off of the main strip in Kuta. It was a slice of paradise and I didn't want to leave! Our room was exceptionally clean, the bed was firm but very comfortable and the cleaners were so lovely and caring and do such a great job looking after the place and the visitors! We paid $750 each for 14 nights of accommodation. $50 a night for the premium suite and it was well worth every cent. The staff at the breakfast/bar were amazing and became our friends, they work so hard and deserve so much praise for what they do! I definately recommend staying in Matahari Bungalows and would stay here again when I visit Kuta next time. The service and safety felt staying here made our holiday so much more enjoyable! I did not have to worry about people coming into our rooms, or things being stolen around the pool. Great central location with a mini mart straight across the road too! Thankyou for making our stay amazing!

A little gem with amazing staff, beautiful gardens. A pool that os amazing. A slice of heaven. From the moment you step onto the premises you are welcomed by the the most caring, lovely staff. No request is too big or too small. They assisted me when my kids got sick and had to go to hospital. Drove us there and made sure we were okay. I cannot fault anything here and an amazing place for families to relax. The restaurant has a lovely menu and the cocktails in the pool bar are amazing. The spa next to the pool os highly recommended! Best massage and facial in Kuta!

This was a recommendation from a friend and ill never do that again!! It was the day of my birthday so we wanted something nice but we were horribly disappointed, everything about this place is shabby from the reception to the grounds to the bar and pool area and then there's the room,it was run down mouldy, paint peeling and smelt old oh and insects. We got our room deposit back and booked into another hotel straight away. Definitely not what you see in the photos needs alot of attention.

Resort is positioned on Main Street pretty well on the boarder of Kuta/ Legian around all amenities, bars, coffee laundry, ATM etc and very easy to get Grab scooter or taxi. Looks deceiving from the front but walk past reception and the grounds and pool are great. We stayed in rooms facing pool and while it is an older resort our room was pretty good with only few minor flaws. Good breakfast and not 5 star resort but VERY good value and the friendly professional staff ensured our stay was excellent. We will definitely return.
