These bungalows are absolutely gorgeously magical and fashioned in the old Bali Style. I had my own bungalow with a private garden. The pool is refreshingly wonderful and a statue spurts out water so you can have a neck/shoulder/back massage while swimming. The room itself is spacious with a mozzie net, ceiling fan, very cold fridge, desk, lamp, and a huge bathroom with a shower and a bath. Breakfast is included in the price - I normally had the fruit salad and the vegetable omlette - so yummy! On the balcony, there is a bubbler with cold and hot water so you can make yourself a real coffee or tea at any time and also fill up your water bottle. The gardens are exquisite with a huge variety of tropical flowers, plants, ferns, and trees. The statues, lanterns, and bamboo wind chimes all add to the charm. The owners and their staff are incredibly warm and welcoming! They have a nice dog, too and there is a little shop across the road where you can get cold drinks and snacks. You can walk up the pathway to the rice fields and walk down to the market. I would definitely stay here again!

Arjana is not the most modern place but the bungalows are big and very clean. The poolarea is very nice and it’s just a 3 min walk to the ricefield. Arjana offers good Breakfast, friendly staff and great value for money.

It is what it is. A cheap place to stay in your own Villa. We have definitely stayed in worse places. We will be back! Unkempt, lots of mosquitoes, we never had a hot shower, chilled staff. But very relaxing, nice and secluded away from town but still within walking distance, exceptional value at $20 to $30 per night, no complaints really warranted. I would complain if they were charging $85, like other establishments. Staff are friendly, motorcycle Hire is easy, breakfast is fine. It is on the edge of rice fields with wonderful little walks going all over the place including to little restaurants. It's one of those places where you can adjust, and just stay for months if you want to. Walking distance to a wonderful little restaurant down the road called Savannah Moon and also a nice massage spa called Atria. It has mosquito Nets over the bed and a very good swimming pool.

Reading the reviews about Arjana 2 made us belief that it was a good choice. Well upon arrival in our bungalow we were very disappointed. We asked to be moved to the next room as that was much lighter. No vista of rice fields, many filthy corners in bathroom, stained curtains and filthy mosquito net, damaged furniture, filthy pillows on patio furniture, all five lawn chairs at the pool were damaged, light fixtures in breakfast patio were rusted and broken. No restaurant on site and walking steps were covered in moss. We had to ask for toilet tissue, tea and sugar. No toiletries provided. Positives: large room, large bathroom with tub, plenty of complimentary drinking water, good Wi-Fi, excellent pool (but no pool shower or extra towels), good breakfast and quiet location with limited access for transportation. The price was reasonable, but there are many places in Ubud for that price that are much cleaner, give better service and even air-conditioning. If getting a refund from the booking site was not such a hassle, we would have turned around instead. We were glad to leave after two nights

I probably wouldn't have chosen Arjana 2 because of some reviews but because I was supposed to meet a friend, who already had checked in there, it was easier to stay there too. And I'm glad I did. It's a lovely set of quite large bungalows in a a tropical garden with a lovely pool in the middle. It's true that some of the furnishing or appliances are a bit outdated or need renovation but for the price you pay you can certainly not complain. On the contrary, I found the bungalows to be clean and offering everything you need. Big bathrooms with hot water, huge beds with mosquito nets, night stands with a lamp, small desk and make-up table, ceiling fan, private balcony with chairs and table and a water station with hot and cold water as well as tea bags and instant coffee. The pool is quite large and you can actually swim in it. Breakfast is included in the price and is served à-là-carte. Make sure you don't wait to long for them to show up when you want to order breakfast, just go to the kitchen below the breakfast terrace and let them know you'd like to have breakfast. I stayed in bungalow 4 first, which was a bit dark from its location in the grounds, but when my friend left, I moved to bungalow 8, which is probably the best they have - bright and with the balcony facing the pool. All the bungalows are very quiet as the location is at the end of a side street and right next to the rice fields. Still it's only about a 7-10' walk to the main road and central Ubud. The only downside is the location in terms of transportation; shuttle busses don't make it up there so you have to meet them at the corner of the main road. Taxis will collect you/drop you off there but Grab and Uber are highly boycotted in the neighbourhood.

Been here a couple of times between 2005 and 2009 and have so many good memories of the place. After reading the reviews on booking and TripAdvisor I got a bit scared that it would have changed a lot. Still booked it and it was the best choice. The rooms actually got better. Still as quite as before, in a beautiful garden. Much better to stay here than in the busy center. Nice pool, breakfast and rice fields around it. Could improve with an AC, it becomes a bit hot in the mosquito net, because it blocks the wind from the van. I actually prefer a van but this way it doesn't really work.

A tranquil little spot on the edge of the rice fields. Quiet and secluded with lovely private little bungalows, that are a good size, comfortable and are equipped with a fan and a fridge. The pool is beautiful and perfect for a dip on those hot Bali days. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. In my opinion a perfect spot to stay when in Ubud.

Arjana Bungalows has practically become my second home as I've been coming here regularly for the past 8 years. The rooms/bungalows are simple but cozy and they have a fan and a fridge. The pool is great and the rice-fields are just a 5 minute walk away, and the centre around 15 minutes Renting a scooter is recommended though.

Although a bit further walking distance from the main streets (about 15 min) , but for this reason also more quiet and private. Beautiful small roads into the rice fields and layed back streets. The bungalows are separated also with plants and trees, bushes from each other, so i felt a lot more private here than in other homestays i slept before. My bathroom was spacious and i liked its simple decoration. Perfect pool size, nice view to the rice field from the terrasse. I found the atmosphere very cosy, the personnal was always very helpful. Wifi worked for me most of the time only on the terrasse. After stayin 1-2 days in other homestays in Ubud, i picked this one to stay for 2 weeks. D love to come here again, perfect accomodation for reasonable price!
