In a five star hotel with cheapest room for 700K/night one may expect near perfection. The hotel is good, room and bathroom were OK and clean, however there's no atmosphere. Only a few bored bussiness-clients, terrible live music in the bar. Breakfast buffet was more than impressive, hot and cold, eastern and european to choose from. Dinner good but not... More

Hotel was tired with old furniture and features in the room. Still using the old type of control panel switch by the bedside and old TV. Cleanliness was average but they can do lots better. Lobby was nice with Javanese style and architecture and live Gamelan played in the evening. Swimming pool was good but nothing to shout out. The... More

In theory, the Kusuma Sahid has a lot going for it; nice Javanese architecture, large rooms, and a decent sized pool. However, the sheer lack of maintenance is just shocking. Of the three toilets I had to use in the building, only one of them could actually flush. (On the plus side, I developed an excellent understanding of the inner... More

I cannot complain about this hotel a lot. I love the front lobby which is very old traditional Javanese style, and they play traditional gamelan music in the afternoon. You cannot see this often in a lot of other hotels. Yes the whole building in need of total renovation, but other than that they don't really give extremely high rate... More

Back to the past. That first impression when I entered the hotel area Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel Solo. Unlike most existing modern hotel, this hotel maintains the architecture typical of ancient Javanese building. Although more than 100 years old, this hotel is far from bleak. 120 rooms available in accordance with the standards of a modern five-star hotels, so comfortable.... More

From the outside, the hotel looks excellent with a very nicely renovated lobby (hotel is built around and an old palace). Although the rooms are big and the beds are nice and comphy. The interiour and room facilities are a "timewarp" back to the " early eighties" and needs substantial renovation to meet Western standards and meet expectation created with... More

Rooms are a nice size but the bathroom is in need of a renovation. The tub is stained and the bathroom door is peeling near the florr. We also saw a cockroach lurking around near the bathroom sink. Yulks! Like amny Indonesian hotels, this hotel is not well maintained More

We stayed 2 nights here and felt we got very good value for money. We arrived in Solo without any accomodation booked. We have two small children and it can be difficult to find a hotel where we don't have to pay a lot extra for them. After checking out a couple of places including Novotel and Ibis we arrived... Can't understand why anyone should have anything but praise for the accommodation at this excellent hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and offered us great discounted rates during our 3D 2N stay. The swimming pool was clean and well maintained with excellent poolside service. An internet cafe is located in the grounds of the hotel and a gamalan orchestra plays... More
