Where to start? The grounds are wonderful--the botanical garden is a treat to walk through night and day. The views from the rooms are very striking. The hotel also provides easy access to the Dead Sea and related spa experiences / treatments. Frankly, though, what struck me (and caused my girlfriend and me to extend our stay an extra night),... Myself and my girlfriend payed 244 dollars for 1 night, costly for a nice but basic accommodation. Its a lovely accommodation with nice gardens, the pool is amazing with great views of the mountains in the back ground. They charge 50 shekels to enter the Spa I think is a bit cheeky after such extortionate rates. Its also a drive... More

This is a good place with lovely gardens and a relaxed, family feel. It's the kind of place that you'd like to stay for a few days to relax. The food is very good and the staff are friendly enough. However, you'll pay for the privilege of staying here....it's expensive. I'd go back in a heartbeat though if I could... More

This was my second time at the Kibbutz Ein Gedi Hotel and I was not disappointed. The Kibbutz is set above the Dead sea and is famous for its botanical gardens. The kibbutz is in fact a botanical garden set in the desert and the hotel is run by the kibbutz. I had a desert room and although basic it... More

Except for a nearby youth hostel, this is the only hotel in the immediate area. The hotel is a part of a Kibbutz, so it is not intended to be very luxurious. If you get a lower priced room, you will get VERY basic accommodation among families and budget travelers. Weekend crowds will be noisy and energetic. But if you... More

We paid over 200$ for a room that was a standard for a 2 star motel in US. We tried to cancel but we haven’t realized that the cancellation policy is 7 DAYS! Also, the staff in the front desk was not very nice. They had this typical Israeli attitude. Almost like we were annoying them to ask questions. There... More

We enjoyed the location of this kibbutz. The rooms were typical kibbutz housing. Lovely botanical gardens. Great breakfast in their dining rooms. We were given free entrance to the Ein Gedi Spa which made the cost very reasonable. We have stayed in Ein Boket on a previous visit and found this to be better since some of the hotels there... This place is not really a hotel but rather a kibbutz guest house with a variety of different quality rooms from the most basic to comfortable accommodation. There is no luxury here. However, the rooms are clean, the grounds are pleasant, the staff are helpful and the location overlooking the Dead Sea is spectacular. The food is reasonable and there... More

It's something between a hotel and a guest house. The amenities are OK. You can get a better price and a better hotel at Ein Bokek (where most of the dead see hotels are) but this place is in a unique, beautiful location, so it's different. You see here the nature in front of your eyes, and not only spas,... More

Come to this hotel and pay the lower (but still pricey) fee and get the bottom of the barrel room! Mouldy shower, spartan accomodations, no shampoo, soap from a dispenser at the sink and shower. Just run down. However, it's location is perfect for Dead Sea romping. It's more like an old summer-cottage-commune type place where people sit out in... More
