Decent place to downtown Albany. Great Location! Room was average with a decent size coat room. Bathroom/Wasroom was nice but the shower could use some work. Shower floor was a bit stained. We stayed here one night on our way to Boston. The staff could not have been more helpful. The rooms were very clean, comfy bed, nice bathroom. The location was convenient and easy. Price was amazing for the quality of the property. I do not understand the negative reviews. Don't hesitate to stay here. More

I would say the 74 State is a little better or on par with a Crowne Plaza or some other upper-middle range hotel. The room was really large, and the service was great. But I don't think it was $300 a night good. More
