We stayed one night at Hotel Inter-Burgo while travelling round South Korea and we felt that the old wing (tower) is being neglected. The hotel may be rated 5-star based on the new wing. There was a cockroach in the bathroom in our room when we arrived. The room looked tired and in need of refurbishment. The breakfast was a... More

We stayed three nights, not consecutively, since we were traveling with a group to Gwangju in the middle of our stay. The hotel is clean and quite comfortable, staff being very helpful to visitors on Kyungbok National University business (our hosts negotiated the price). Although not close to the school (it's located near the Convention Center), it was in the... More

Firstly we have to say that this hotel could be considered a discrete four star hotel (surely not a five star). This for the average service level, the moderate care and elegance of the common areaa, especially in the older annex, and for the strange mix of stlyle - american, spanish, korean - sometimes it could seem a train station... Unfortunately stayed only one night in that hotel. Very nice located, with a very nice parc and view to the river. The staff is friendly, the hotel clean, the rooms could be refurbished or say.... not as up to date as I expected. WIFI need to be paid, but cheap. Good buffet for breakfast. More

Location was out of the way. No coffee or shampoo in room. Lobby and service was impressive, although room was old and small. AC/heater was not quiet. Best thing was that it was a block away from a convenience store and some authentic Korean restaurants with picture menus. Also, free Internet in lobby. For a few dollars more, stay at... More

This is an odd hotel. It had been open only a few months when I went in February and yet looked like it had been decorated in about 1986. There were many odd touches that made you wonder who was managing the place - the bar closes at 10pm, "and that includes you", so off to bed now. And breakfast... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights in June. The lobby was pretty impressive in terms of space & design. Reception staff were friendly & efficient and spoke a decent level of english. The rooms were acceptable; clean & relatively comfortable. Breakfast was fine in relation to both choice & quality. In terms of location it appeared to be quite... More

I spent two nights at Inter Burgo with my boyfriend over the Lunar New Year. Upon our arrival we were told that breakfast would be included in the price of our room (over 150,000 Won, not cheap at all compared to their standard) and so we were led to our Deluxe Room. The very first impact was already very disappointing:... More

This is an eccentric local hotel with aspirations of being a world class property. The lobby area is very nice, including the odd Spanish theme mentioned by other reviewers (which I found entertaining, but not intrusive). Service was friendly, although dialog was limited. It is obviously a lot harder to find fluent English Speakers in Daegu than in Seoul. My... More

I live in New York City, and stayed at the Hotel Inter-Burgo with my wife and 6-year-old son in an Executive Floor room with an eastern river view for TWO WEEKS in July & Aug. 2007 (We later stayed at the Westin Chosun in Busan and the J.W. Marriott in Seoul). Our room (which measured about 400 sq. ft.) was... More
