We (couple) stayed at this delightful family run home hotel for a few days. The place is so tranquil and peaceful. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the owner speaks excellent Engish. We had no trouble getting a sun bed around a lovely and not overcrowed pool. The room was clean and we found the beds very comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located to the local shops, bars and restaurants would recommend for a very chilled stay.

All the reviews seem to be quite old. When I stayed here ( March 2020 ) I found the room fabulous, and very clean, The fridge was supplied with 2 bottles of water every day, my only criticism would be there was no safe in the room I was only 10 yards from my room to the large infinity pool which I had to myself most days. The Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. A special thanks goes to Dal who organised breakfast each day, a very polite and hardworking guy. The Hotel was set back off the main drag and therefore no road noise, yet close enough to all the restaurants and bars. I enjoyed my stay here so much that I am going to book for 2021. Thank you to Dee and all her hardworking staff, and see you all in 2021.

This was the only hotel I booked before travelling based on previous reviews and pictures and I was thoroughly impressed. The room was adjacent to the pool and about a 10 step walk up to the loungers. It was a super quiet hotel with only a few people making the most of the pool facilities during the day. I had a few issues with the AC and the electrics I think it had tripped out, but they were super quick to rectify things and everything was plain sailing after that.

The pictures make it seem far far better than it is. In reality it is very poorly maintained and unacceptable. We had booked for 3 nights but didn't even stay for one. The room we were given was large but bare except for the absolute basics. It smelt very strongly of damp and there were large black mould patches on the walls and in the bathroom. A nasty old bathroom with mouldy tiles and decrepit fittings. If it was a £10 backpacker hostel you would bear it, but certainly not at the price they want to charge which for Thailand is quite high. It is a real shame because it is in a gorgeous location and could be a lovely hotel if they bothered to maintain it.

I had stayed for six nights in this hotel. We checked in the hotel at the night time. The room was at the second floor in front of the swimming pool. The room was not small comparing with same price of other hotels. It would be better to the guests if a few details could be improved - such as provided kitchen utilities in the room, the a clean bedsheet, sufficient chairs in the room, sufficient hotwater for shower etc. However, the staff was especially friendly - the receptionist provided good service to us and the man served us for the breakfast was very hardworking and smiling to the guests everyday.

Yes this hotel is very cheap, therefor you cannot expect Burj al-Arab in Dubai standards. The rooms are big with a lot of empty space and boring white walls, the bathroom is big and boring too. But the staff is mostly kind and try their best to give YOU the best experience. The breakfast consist of three dishes from which you can only choose one. And you have to pay upfront for the whole stay when you arrive. Tho the WiFi is of great quality and allows you to stream on the internet in your room.

In 40+ years of extensive travel, I have never felt the need to check out of a hotel ASAP. Unfortunately, I had to abandon a pre-paid day at this one. My recommendation in one word: AVOID. This is a dated, dilapidated, dirty, and perhaps even dangerous facility. We had to get out a day early due to mould-induced headache. The room air was moist and mildew, as was the bed linen. The floor was dirty, in the main and bath rooms. The curtains were punctured plastic with mould growing on them in several places. The furniture was non existent; not even a chair. The air-con was noisy, as was the plumbing. For concrete walls, there was a lot of incident noise from adjacent rooms. The 2 meagre towels were old, tissue thin, and, damp. The bed was hard, even by Thai standards. The breakfast was low quality and Spartan. The pool area looked inviting, though the chaise were limited and the cushions greasy. The pool water was frighteningly turbid, and black mould prevalent in the grout. The staff were almost consistently ill-dressed; no uniforms…shabby, Thai casual, and although I hate to say it, several of them should have used more soap in their personal grooming. When we checked out and complained, there was no apology offered (no misunderstanding here, as comms were in both English & Thai), nor was there any partial refund available. An intended romantic getaway break absolutely spoiled.…

If you are looking for something that is a little low key and a bit farther away from the attractions of Khao Lak. I would definitely suggest the Palm Hill Resort. It is definitely a peaceful and quiet place with tons of scenery with the beautiful Thailand Nature. It is great place for photo journalists to experience the culture with nearby locals. The Resort staff are genuinely nice and very attending if we needed anything. The pool was clean and great for swimming. My friends and I have spent most of our time in the pool swimming during our days. Everything was walking distance, as it was about a 2-3 minute walk towards the next local restaurant. The rooms were clean and spaciest. The breakfast there was amazing, I fell in love with the toast and jam. They have a variety of choices in their menus if you want either western food or Thai food. Once again, I had an amazing experience here with the people I was with and the impeccable service of the staff. …

Really great stay. The staff are extremely friendly. Beautiful landscaping throughout. Amazing pool and huge rooms. Had the breakfast package and was tasty. Will stay here again. I highly recommend. It is so peaceful and clean. Good location as well. The restaurant they recommend (fizz bistro) was really tasty too. Definitely check it out if you're in the area
