Chanced upon the place after staying and naebul and finding it too quiet up there. Very welcoming at reception and room was everything we were looking for and fantastic value, especially with the pound/dinar exchange rate. More

Just returned this afternoon from a week staying in Hotel Les Citronniers and thought I would share my thoughts. First off. If you a looking for a hotel that offers lots to do by way of entertainment, has multiple restaurants, loads of bars, etc, etc then this is NOT the place for you. I doubt too, that it would be... Nice smallish hotel in quiet area. Bed in one of the two rooms we were given was a bit soft - room immediately changed no problem. All staff very friendly, particularly waiter and cook in restaurant. Excellent value for money. Agree with previous review that the smoking in the dining room is a definite negative but we ate outside (April)... More

The previous excellent review almost made my review redundant. We clearly have similar likes, dislikes and views about travel. We loved staying at Les Citronniers. We liked the fact that local people ate and drank there. It added to the atmosphere. We suspected we had made the right choice when hordes of people got off the transfer bus at the... More

We have travelled to many different countries and been to Africa before (Morocco, Kenya and Tanzania) but never Tunisia and wanted to experience something different to a typical European beach holiday. If, like us, you like to immerse yourself into local culture and experience the real country you're visiting rather than going to a characterless, purpose built all-inclusive place where... More

Well all in all this was not to bad a hotel, rooms were clean and done everyday. A very boring place to sit round all day, But we did the sahara tour and saw the colloseum. Its a boring holiday for 2 weeks but for 1 week to 10 days then you can find enough to do with tours and... More

From start to finish...fantastic service, the hotel staff are so helpfull and friendly, rooms are functional, well appointed and clean. The hotel has a lovely pool and an ala carte air conditioned restaurant, but dining outside on an evening is best. A good menu selection. There is access to a beautiful beach overlooking the Gulf of Hammemet. Above all, the... More

This hotel has gone down hill from 5 years ago . Rooms are cleaned every day but they don't clean any glass , mirrors , taps lamp shades or doors . The bedding and towels old but changed regularly . You get very basic breakfast and have to clean your own table if you sit outside . The sun loungers... More
