Stayed in Patara as it is the closest to the fantastic beach (which is still 2 to 3 km away). The rooms are big, but simple, furniture kind of old, no TV, but AC. The Golden Lighthouse is hands down the best bet in Patara. It has a nice pool, is a friendly family-run establishment, and offers free daily shuttle service (via a sweet little trolley pulled by a tractor) to the beach. Just stayed in a "family" room at the golden Lighthouse with my wife, 4 year old and 2.5 year old for 7 days. This is a nice, spotless hotel. i've been to patara three times, and the previous two times i've stayed in establishments that weren't so great. the golden lighthouse hotel was fantastic. the rooms were reasonably priced, and the service was phemomenal. first, the staff: they were simply marvelous. young, friendly, very laidback. breakfast was served on a large shaded terrace surrounded by beautiful plants and trees....
