We recently (April) returned to the Camellia Inn in Kanazawa for the second time. On our first stay we were enchanted with the Inn, the Sawano family who run it, and especially Mrs Sawano's cooking. A fantastic place to stay when in Kanazawa (little Kyoto). Camellia Inn is charming and delightful. The Camellia Inn is a wonderful place with helpful owners. It combines traditional architecture with modern conveniences. The room we had was spacious and comfortable with Western style beds and bathroom. The bathtub is not the usual small tub as in most Japanese hotels.
