We stayed here for two nights, the ownder was incredibly kind and helpful, he gave us lots of info about Nikko and surrounding areas, and he even dropped us back to the train station when we left, very kind of him and we very much appreciated it! The house was sweet, very Japanese! A couple of things that might matter... More

It is a cute japanese house. We stayed only one night and we liked too much. It has a totaly calm and warm atmosphere, it is very clean and comfortable. Especially, the owner, Ohfusa San, is a very kind, polite and helpful person. The hotel has a shuttle bus service from the station and if you walk, it takes 15... More

Room Reservation : Made my one night reservations through booking.com Location : Located off a road in a small neighborhood and about 15mins fine walk from Tobu-Nikko station and main convenience stores/restaurants. Read about the free shuttle but did not use it (we did however got a drop-off to the station when we checked out) Reception : Warmly welcomed by... More

We decided on rindou no ie after reading the reviews here, and it was indeed an awesome experience! Shizuo san was an excellent host who did not mind making multiple trips back and forth to pick us up from the station and to the onsen etc, we almost felt bad troubling him to do so! The rooms were clean with good... More

I felt the warmth welcome the moment Sizuo picked us up from Nikko JR station. Both Sizuo and Keiko make us really felt at home and take all measures so that we understand the food we eat and we are comfortable for our stay. Sizuo does not mind making endless trip to drop or pick up guests despite our different... More

the best place I have stayed in Japan by far. Although it's a bit far from a station (about 20 minutes walk or so) but it's still in a walking distance and you can enjoy the view of a river. The room was very nice. fully equipped. The dinner is the best ! don't miss ! and the owners are... More

we stayed here two nights for a visit to the temples in Nikko. It was the best experience during our 10 days in Japan. The owners are so sweet and helpful. The room was nice and big enough. I regret we only had dinner one evening, it was nicely presented and very tasteful. The owner picked us up from the... More

We stayed at Rindou-No-Ie for two nights during our visit to Nikko. Only thing we regret is that we didn't stay any longer there! The owners, Shizuo-san and Keiko-san, were most friendliest and made us feel more than welcomed. We highly recommend to take the dinner option. It was definetely the best meal we ate during our trip to Japan!... More

This was our first experience with a ryokan, so I was a little nervous not knowing what to expect. It turned out to be one of the best weekend get aways we've had! Shizuo-san and Keiko-san made us feel totally welcome and made our weekend in Nikko as easy as possible. Shizuo-san picked us up at the train station and... More

Our stay at Rindou-No-Ie was the high point of our trip to Japan. One of the biggest issues for non-Japanese visitors traveling in Japan is the extreme difficulty involved in connecting with local Japanese people, due to language and cultural barriers. One gets to see the sights but is left feeling frustrated at the lack of meaningful human connection with... More
