Affordable boutique hotel which is located at near UTM. Eateries, convenient stores, banks, mall, clinics and anything else, just name it , were just around the corner. This was my return stay after the last one which was 14 years back. During that day, it was a lot better. Reception was okay but lack of hospitality and professionalism as I could not feel the welcoming gesture from the hotel staff. The interior was cramped with outdated English style Decor. The room was spacious and clean but you could feel the old and rundown ambience upon entering the room. Everything in the room were dilapidated and needed serious renovation. Just across the street from the room is a motorcycle workshop which ran late until almost mid-night. The sound from revving motorcycle engine would make it difficult to fall sleep and and get the rest that you really needed after a long day. Overall, it not worth staying here as you have a better choice next door.

The room is comfortable and clean even though the price is cheap. The bathroom is also clean. Offered breakfast but I didn't get to try it so no comment on that. Overall I had a good night sleep here.

Sparkle clean: room, sheets and bathroom. My husband and I stayed in this hotel for one week. Its safe with very good location in taman universiti. Its two stars hotel but you will get boiling eggs for the breakfast. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. There is a Mini market next door, very good (mamak) restaurant few step away (Indian food ). Aeon shopping mall across the street, near the public transportation. Its the best hotel, If you have things to do in university technology of Malaysia (UTM) . I've been in other hotel at the same area but this one truly is the best even its night fee a little bit higher than the other hotels. By the way, its 20 minutes drive from Johor airport (Senai airport) and also 20 minutes drive to Lego Land Malaysia.15 minutes to Siri putri bus station (sub bus station to kl or any other states). 30 minutes to Johor Bahru City center.

Quite a run down boutique hotel. Really no frills for RM 74 per night with queen bed. Simple Breakfast is inclusive too at the lobby! Room is really small, cupboard was broken, leaking on the top ceiling with brown patch. Really unsightly. TV in hotel too, and drinking water free flow from dispenser at the lobby. Decent toilet and most importantly very thankful there's water heater! Bed is ok but bed sheet is a bit dirty and itchy. Nice location as Taman University have got lots of nice shops.

Back when I first come to work at JB and had no place to stay, Rose Cottage offered the cheapest comfortable place to sleep the nights before I can rent a house. The hotel tried to appear as much as it could like an English cottage although it actually looks more like an English barn. They served simple breakfast of boiled eggs and bread. Not expecting much from the price but suitable for travellers looking for short stay.

We stayed there in mid December for a short stay in JB. Although the location is about 20 km, from JB, the distance is made bearable by the highway that connects the major areas in the JB area. We travelled quite comfortably to JB for the things that we wanted to do. It is a functional hotel, to bath and sleep, after doing your activities. Surprisingly, for this hotel, the beds was very comfortable, and the aircon was good :) I would recommend this hotel if you need a simple hotel to RnR after a day of activities. Breakfast is provided, a simple DYI breakfast :)

Been here for my weekend class and as its on school holiday, brought my wife and 5yo daughter along. Again Agoda has manage to dissapoint me on the pricing as they gave false impression on having best price while actually Agoda will charge service fee on top of whatever price the hotel are giving and this is my second time paying more to Agoda than what i should pay to the hotel directly. Room Deluxe Queen does not have adequate space for any activities and even to conduct my prayers is not comfortable as there are barely space for me to do that. The bathroom have the basic necessity and there are towel so you're set. The air conditioner is good, controllable to my liking, that should be good enough. Bed Comfy enough for a night sleep but if you are for a holiday, please spare more money for a better (and higher priced) hotel. Breakfast as this is a budget hotel, a breakfast already a bonus point even they just serve half boiled eggs with bread and coffee. Better than nothing for this kind of price range. Anyway if that is not your preference, there are a lot of restaurant nearby within walking distance. Wifi Is provided FOC but you need to ask the password from the counter, This is good, even better than some higher priced hotel i've been around JB. Serving my basic need with good price, this can be my main option for my weekend class stay over.

Its reasonable but we can get more nicer room for almost same price. The room is a bit smelly and the bed is crooked. Its okay if its small but the smell....I'd rather stay in my car for the whole night.

It was a business trip for me as this budget hotel was the closest to Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. The room that I was given had this noisy door alarm but that wasn't a serious issue. The bed was really nice though. Maybe I was there at a wrong timing, the police raided the hotel to search for any unmarried Muslim couple who might be using the hotel to do you know what. My room was also searched and used as their place to write down the raided room occupants particular on their report book. It spoils my sleeping mood that night. My room's bathroom doesn't have any lock but the water heater and water pressure was working fine. Other than that, the WiFi is free. Just ask the reception counter for the password. Breakfast was also served at the small lobby but there are plenty other places around to have a nice and better breakfast.
