We just visited the Datai beach hotel on spec whilst driving around Langkawi. The whole place is luxurious and and the setting almost belies description. The main hotel buildings, private bungalows, swimming pools, bars and restaurants are set in acres of lush tropical rain forest leading down to a private white sand beach.
