Stayed here with my mum as all other hotels were booked and we had no choice, paid a hefty RM200 for this weary place.Hotel is rather old and in a dinghy neighbourhood with sleazy bars and other karaoke joints in front.Car Park is situated behind,in another building at the back. Most confusing part is you park the car and use a diagonal unimaginable skybridge that takes you on a journey past karaoke lounges, massage parlour and a vietnamese restaurant at 1st floor. Staff only provide one entry card and you have to use the same card to swipe at the lift,so if you have family in the room I really don't know how you manage this as they will be left in darkness!! and I was fed up and requested for another card!! Carpets on room hallway are old and threadbare, rooms are large and clean, bathroom is clean but our toilet flush wasn't working,so had to inform and they got it fixed! Breakfast provided is in the crowded lobby, super crowded and just like a market and people are fighting for seating and chairs.Unbelievable! Will not return to this joint. At least wifi was working and that too,you have to log in every 1 hour.

I stayed at the Premier room (2 King beds). Everything looked okay at first, cleaned and spacious. Room was enough to fit 4 adults and 2 small kids at one time. But when i tried to use the tap and shower in the toilet, looks like the heater was not functioned. When i tried to use the standing shower, it got burst immediately and the tube spout connecting to the tap fell off. I had to use the shower near the bathtub instead. Then when my husband tried to use the electric kettle, boom, all power off due to power trip. We called up the reception and they sent a technician immediately, he was surprised to know that the wiring was not done correctly, and was not safe at all. Knowing that the wiring and shower work will take some time, and we couldn't be moved to another room due to unavailability. We had no choice but to leave the room because 1. my baby needs hot water for his milk, 2. we havent had dinner. We headed back to hotel right after dinner, and thank god they managed to complete all the work. Shower and wiring were fixed accordingly and the heater finally worked. Breakfast? The Chinese fried rice was very plain in taste. Even my 2 year old baby refused to eat it. Same goes to the rice porridge- tasteless. Fried meehoon was okay. I'd rather have a simple selection of tasty breakfast, rather than having a variety of food but tasteless. The only credits i would vie was to the front desk officer and technician. butI'm not recommending this hotel, avoid if you may.

If you are looking for hotel amenities, this hotel is adequately provided. If you are looking for streets & local enjoyment, this hotel location is a clear advantage. Whether for foods, cultures, delicacies, entertainments, night spots and historical attractions - they are all walking distance. My friend bought her favorite and the famous mooncakes in Ipoh within 5mins via Grab. Clean hotel, just its rather old fittings. The rest is acceptable.

Firstly, dont be deceived by the name. It has no connection with ritz carlton. The pictures are deceiving. They are all from a long time ago. The place is very old. Few points 1. Toilets are not clean. Lots of mould 2. Room is not sound proof. I could hear the karaoke next door 3. Tv is old. We had a crt 4. Furniture is very old and giving way 5. Kitchen is very basic 6. Breakfast is basic 7. Staff friendly 8. Pool is mouldy 9. Shower is very small. Not fit for big people

Despite this being an old hotel, which is evident the moment you step into the building, it was nevertheless quite a decent hotel. I have seen some terrible hotels before and as such I can say that this hotel was nowhere are bad as those hotels. As this hotel has been around for quite sometime, one certainly has to keep an open mind about it. For me, my first impression was certainly priceless as the staff manning the check in counter was very helpful even though I checked in some four hours late. Lobby wise, you certainly cannot expect the amenities of a five-star hotel.Despite that I have no complains about the lobby. I have always placed great importance on rooms whenever I stay at a hotel as this will determine the comfort of your stay. Again, despite being an old hotel, I have no complains about the room although I have to say perhaps the pillows and mattress need to be change to provide more comfort. Despite that my sleep was not compromised at all. If there is one complain than it has to be the television. One thing which made the hotel bearable was the fact that it is located in the city, which made travelling easier. Although it is located in the older part of town, the other attractions are just minutes away. The availability of a parking facility adjacent to the hotel also made is easier for those who drive.

The room looked quite old with the bed and bathroom the obvious.. A little upgrading would see this hotel as one of the best. The hotels come with facilities like a night club, karaoke, massage centers, restaurant, gym, a small swimming pool, kid pool, snooker place, cigar bar and a cinema (yes, a cinema of its own)

We have arrived ipoh very early, but hotel could only allowed the earliest check in at 11plus. Really appreciated their helps. Upon checked in, found the rooms have various defects. Such as TV not connected properly, aircon leaking, and window latch is not properly secured. We have to keep calling reception to assist a few times. The maintenance took abit of time to assist, but managed to rectify all problems. Appreciated the team for assisting. 2 best facts of this hotel, one of it is the security for the car park, it is consider very secure, as there are a security guard around at all time. Second is the breakfast, their breakfasts choice are very good. Especially the rice and noodle options.

my om the first impression when we arrived the hotel looks so gloomy. From the outside its like a cheap old hotel. Luckily, i gave it a chance and just checkin first to see what its look like. Inside at the lobby, its decent enough. The room was ok. However, if you are bigger than me (i am quite a plum size) this type of room will not suitable for you as the toilet is quite small. It has only small space for the toilet bowl and its between the sink and the shower glass and it just fit for my body. The bedsheet smell and kind of old and a bit yellowish already. Aircond just fine. We had a chance to go to the pool.. Twice. At first just want to see as i saw a review said that the pool dirty and bad. But my opinion, the pool is ok for us.. Cold water. However, the kids pool very small.. And no staff there if you need anything. Breakfast provided just nice. Nothing great but can make you full. To come here again, maybe think twice. By the way, the hotel only give you 1 access card and you need card to enter the lift and to your room.
