“This is NOT Hotel”

The Gurney Park Condominium has been illegally used as service apartment/Hotel. There has been court ruling against this and the operators are being chargeds in court. Don't book this place as you may end up being chased away by security and no place to stay. You defintely do not want to spend your holidays in this sad way.

“Not a hotel/serviced apartment”

Note this is not a hotel or serviced apartment and short letting is illegal as it is a private condominium. Stayed there in Aug 2011 and agent fights with security guards for visitors to enter. Large signs everywhere state serviced apartment visitors are not allowed. Police, Penang Municipal Council and Customs Department have been making visits as running a business... More

We booked Gurney Park apartment for a 3 day/2 night stay over on 24-26Sept2010. The reason for choosing this apartment was because it was a 3-bedroom apartment, very cheap (RM200/night) and great location.
