Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay a lot. If you go to George Town for visiting the heritage sites, then this would be a very good choice. Everything is within walking distance and it will be a very good base for going around under the sun (and the temperature) in Penang. The rooms (we booked... More

Spent a long weekend (during lunar new year) in Penang, aiming to visit the main sights in the Heritage zone. For anyone looking to experience Penang's heritage (i.e. staying away from main resorts), this is just the place. The building is a renovated old heritage building, in the heart of the core heritage zone. It is a small, boutique hotel,... More

High points -They were available on a crowded holiday weekend; when another hotel booking fell through at 10pm, still managed to get a booking here, though most of the rest of the town was booked out. (this is a reflection that they are overpriced for the area) -Well located, right ion the centre of town. -The rooms were clean and... More

My first trip to Georgetown Penang, partly due to the beautiful art pieces that were commissioned during Georgetown Festival this year. And chanced upon this great residence beautifully located in the heart of UNESCO heritage site. Boutique Residence Hotel, which I considered it more like a B&B or something like what I'd experience behind, "Mingsu" or homestay, but this property... More

We had a lovely stay at the Boutique Residence in the heart of Georgetown. The AC rooms were large, clean and comfortable with two huge leather lazy boys. The room had a fan as well and the bathroom was large. The recent remodel shows in the modern fittings in the bathroom and elsewhere. There was a safe in the room... More

Georgetown nowadays has little surprises popping up all over the most unexpected parts of the city....be it quaint cafes or boutique hotels . And today we found a very fascinating boutique hotel with a touch of Swiss decor . The Manager himself is of Swiss origin and friendly enough to show us around his new outlet in Georgetown, which is... More

We hated this place right from the outset. We arrived early in the morning and asked to leave our bags somewhere. We were instructed to just leave them in the middle of the dark, deserted looking reception area, which we did, reluctantly... we spent some of our time waiting for our room to be ready in their pool area and...
