Being the only guest at the hotel had me a little worried upon arrival to this secluded hotel. The location is breath taking as the dinning room and rooms all overlook the sea. I stayed here for 2 nights and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were clean and had some interesting pieces of furniture. The food was fine,... More

This is my favourite place in Sabah to getaway with friends and family. The lodge is a great place for anyone trying to find a little quiet time away from all the hustle and bustle of the concrete jungle. I went there with my family when they first opened and are still regulars there, we go back at least once... More

A nice hotel built on a hill with chalets scattered around the premises. Definitely not suitable if you are older and/or have troubles walking. Even I found the entrance a bit strenuous: walking uphill with all your luggage and steps without a hand rail to hold on to. The rooms were dimly lit, which made it difficult to find something... Thank you for highlighting certain downside of our lodge. We will try to improve as much as we can. On your comments that the staff insist on guest writing nice comments in the guest book, we beg to differ. There are several comments in the guest book which highlighted things that which we can improve. On insects, this lodge is... More

In principle this place is indeed of a special kind. 2 to 2.5 hrs drive (in low traffic conditions 1,5 hrs in a perfect place. However, there were drawbacks. Other reviews mentioned the terrific meals, but we did not have that experience. Perhaps because of Ramadan, but the food was generally uninspired and rather bland during the 4 nights stay.... More

We have stayed in this lodge 4 times in the last 5 years. The reason we kept coming back was the friendliness, location, and great food. LOcation still great for what we like but unfortunately it was not so friendly anymore. The main receptionist especially. A real shame. We were not the only ones who noted it. Two other families... A 2hr drive from Kota Kinabalu (arranged by the resort) we stayed here for 3 nights after a week of adventure in Sandakan. The perfect place for a bit of r&r. The rooms themselves are spread out over 3/4 buildings so you almost get a chalet-feeling. Inside, they are comfy and clean whilst stopping short of luxurious (the bathroom has... More

This place was really great, not too bad for the price, and the food was SO good too. This place is for relaxing only.. There is nothing else to do there, which is all we wanted to do. The beach is really nice, beautiful sunsets, nice ocean to swim in, and beautiful rooms. The only thing: There were not enough... More

I stayed here for 2 nights. I really really love this place! Especially, location is excellent! 2 hours car trip from Kota Kinabalu is needed, but worth it. The beach in front of the lodge is only for us! Except for local kids, nobody was there. You can see the long long beautiful beach. I loved it. Playing in the... More

Perfect beach which stretches for miles with only you on it or a few village children learning how to ride a bike. Steep steps up to the lodge which could be a problem for people with walking disabilities. Rooms are quite rustic but comfortable. The soporific sound of crashing waves 50 metres from your room will drift you off to... More

We stayed there 4 nights and simply loved it! The food was the best we had in Malaysia and staff was great. The beach is clean and very beautiful. Only the mattress in the room wasn´t very comfy, everything else is simply perfect. We were picked up at our hostel in KK and brought there. During two days we were... More
