This place has a great atmosphere, is well decorated and charming and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The single rooms don't have windows so were a bit dark, but the doubles were much better. Beds were comfortable and there was a/c in the rooms. Rooms were clean. The best thing about the Waterfront Lodge was the fantastic location... More

This hotel suited to the most basic traveler: Expensive at any price in my view. Issues: No hot water (cold shower) in room, Breakfast...toast and black coffee only...no milk or cereal. Sewer smell in some parts of building when rains. Mosquitoes in room (dengue) No fridge in room, Internet only in foyer. Yes the staff are friendly, but they could... More

We were travelling for a year when we arrived in 2008 for the "World Rainforest Music Festival" and we managed to stay here for a few days. It was a charming, well designed, place to stay. Although, they were still getting used to opening a new accomodation, the staff were polite and courteous and made our stay all the more... More

We stayed here for 8 nights and loved it. The lodge is a beautifully decorated charming old building in the older part of the city. With spacious rooms that are clean and well presented. The staff are friendly and helpful and the location is perfect with the river just across the street. Breakfast is basic but enough. We will stay... More

Stayed a couple night here. Friendly service, damp rooms, appallingly poor breakfast (but lots of options around in the hood), central location, in a rather nicely furnished old building, next to a noisy road. Seems to hit on some levels but just seems to be missing something...... More

The lodge is conveniently located on the main bazaar only a short walk from the open market and buses and across the street from the waterfront. Nicely furnished with dark wood and antiques in the lobby and very open. The room was very clean, carpeted, with soap, towels, and tv. View overlooked the street below. Free breakfast of tea/coffee and... More

This little hotel is right across the street from the lovely Kuching waterfront and the old shops that are fun to browse are right along that same street and in the streets behind the hotel. What makes it fun is the location and also this sense of staying in a place with local charm. Now that sometimes is code for... More

I stayed at this hotel in February 2010. The location is great. Right in front of the river and very aptly named. It's an easy nice walk along the old streets of Kuching City which are just behind the Lodge. I took a family room with an attached bath and air-con. It had a double bed and a single bed.... More
