The Wo Jia Guesthouse (I would rather use Guesthouse than lodge...) is centrally located on the waterfront in Kuching. The Guesthouse is within an old but restored Chinese Warehouse. But this also means that you have to walk lots of stairs and some rooms do not have windows and are a bit dark. Anyway, the rooms are simple but have... More

We had a very nice stay at Wo Jia. It is at the waterfront on walking distance to restaurants, bus station bars etc. staff is honest and very friendly, always ready to give advise for trips. They tell you what to do by yourself and when to book a tour. We stayed there more than a week, lots of films... More

This was far and away my favourite place to stay in Kuching. It has everything a backpacker could expect and so much more (the Malay-style brewed coffee available all day is a particularly brilliant extra!). The lovely old 19th century building is decorated in a relaxed chinoiserie style and with the view of the river from the lounge, and glimpses... More

The name of the hostel, 'wo jia', means my home, attracted my attention when i was planning my trip to Kuching. The place is cozy, relaxing, and i wouldn't complain anything bad about this amazing place! The staffs are super friendly, especially the 'john lennon' (u know who u r!) Wojia is just located in front of the waterfront, with... More

As someone who has now stayed in quite a few South East Asian hostels I can say that Wo Jia is as good as they come. The establishment essentially ticks all the criteria for a good hostel and is an excellent base from which to enjoy the beautiful state of Sarawak. To give some context about my trip and thus... When I read the reviews in trip advisor previously I am so intrigue to stay at this place. And when I finally do. ... It was a great experience. The location and service is outstanding . The price is so affordable and their facility is quite complete for a backpackers stay. This huge Tv with set collection of dvd, small... More

Perhaps one of the best guest houses I've stayed in Malaysia . Comfortable accommodation, homely decor and simple complimentary breakfast . Additional plus points would be its super friendly staff and the location of the hostel. Nicely situated within the heart of Kuching city over viewing the waterfront area and accessible by all modes of transportation. Keep it going guys!!!

This place was my home for a week, during my travel around Asia. Shouldn't expect special facilities (it's cheap though) but extremely friendly and helpful stuff (these guys love to have a laugh!), clean sheets, hot water, 24 h breakfast and general atmosphere of the place that makes you feel comfy and welcome. If I come back to Kuching I... More

Wo Jia Lodge is definitely the best hostel I've stayed in Asia. Sheets, towel, wifi, computer, hot shower, breakfast, coffee & Tea are included, very good value for money! Breakfast is simple but good, laundry service is cheap and fast. The staff is amazing, they are very friendly, they know the names of their guests and can give good advice... More
