We've just stayed 2 nights at the Village House and enjoyed it a lot. The rooms, common areas, like the restaurant and the pool area are very tasteful and absolutely clean. The rooms all have a/c and mosquito nets and a nice bathroom. The staff is friendly and helpful and we enjoyed to have the place basically to ourselves. The... More

Village House was a great way to start our vacation in Borneo. We arrived after 24 straight hours of travel and stepped into their little world of comfort and luxury. Not what we expected for Borneo! We spent 3 nights and we always had excellent food. It was a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, with very friendly and helpful staff.... More

The rooms set on stilts around the long pool looked great during the day and fantastic at night when lit up. This was a perfect place to relax and unwind after a week of travelling...the breakfasts and dinners were amazing as was our room overlooking the frangipani lined pool area. The various chill out areas were put to good use... More

I stayed here for 2nights during christmas eve n christmas itself. Overall, rooms are clean and foods were delicious. If u plan to stay longer, be sure to know that you'll not much choices of foods available except from the village house itself. A little bit pricy but yummy. No tv in the room, no wifi in room. U need... More

Stayed for 4 nights and loved this charming place, decorated with lots of love. Sympathetic and helpful manager from UK, staff could be a tad more attentive though, food is good and the bar well stocked - good cocktails and wine-list. Rooms are tastefully decorated, modern, clean and very comfortable. It`s all high-class and can`t be compared with Singahsana Lodge... More

Situated 30 minutes from the airport, on arrival, it looks like a shack from outside the barriers, but don't be fooled. Inside, lies a mini paradise. From the pool to the excellent food & drinks, this is a perfect place to relax. We stayed for 3 nights and took in the cultural village, climbed Mt. Santubung and enjoyed the surrounding... More

This place is wonderful, the staff are so helpful and friendly, always smiling. Our stay here formed part of our honeymoon travels rounds Asia, we were met my Lawerence at the airport and given and great information about kuching and the Village house on our way there. Then met by the most amazing setting at the house. Beautiful pool, decorations... More

Great boutique hotel at affordable price. Super friendly stuff, nice swimming pool, lots of plants and flowers. Good atmosfere. Room was nice with a four poster bed, wood floor, clean bathroom, nice hot moder shower. We loved staying there and relaxing after a lot of jungle trekking. Good restaurant too. More

Village House is a perfect place to do very little. Down an unmarked track just outside the village of Santubong, there really isn't anything to do except relax in a hammock, swim in the gorgeous pool, browse the books and magazines in the upstairs 'library' and amble the two minutes to the beach at sunset (it's not really a sitting... Well organized place, very well maintaned. Spotless clean, friendly and helpful staff which pay the attention to details. Place is impresive, build in Malay-style, full of tribal paraphenalias. The atmosphere is soooooo relaxing that we will come back there in future for sure :-))) Food isn't cheap but is very tasty and is served in a very chic way. Try... More
