The hotel is definitely a little run-down. The room looked like it could use a bit of refurbishment. Decent service by the staff. But the main turn off was bus-loads of group tourists who hung around the lobby area and made a huge ruckus almost at all times of the day (and night). More

Location in Ortigas is great if you are into shopping as the MegaMall and other shopping centers are within walking distance. A bit off the business center and far from the Intramuros historical area. Given the low taxi costs, I'd say location does not make a big difference.
