I recently stayed at Palazzo Pensionne for two nights and found the overall experience very good. My room was away from the street so enjoyed a complete absence of barking dogs or early morning crowing of fowl and banging doors to disturb my slumber. As I am a light sleeper the black-out curtains were also appreciated. I am a fussy... More

April 2012 - Small hotel in the style of a european pensione. It has a real family feel to it. The rooms are large and quiet. Many of the guests staying there were filipino families. The restaurant made family meals for these guests in the restaurant. It hotel felt like home. If you don’t find it too hot, it is... More

We stayed here twice between a trip to and from Malapascua. Everything was fine - decent sized room, comfortable beds, free wi-fi, free breakfast. There are slightly cheaper places in the area, but this served our purpose fine, and we liked it so much we re-booked on the return trip. More

We used Cebu City as a 'base' whilst daytripping to other areas of Cebu (Moalboal and Bohol), and so decided to go budget on accommodation. After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor we booked three nights at the Palazzo Pensionne, however decided after the first night that it was not what we were looking for and booked into a different hotel... I have been there just recently. We stayed for two days and came back for another day after our island trip in North of Cebu. We came back because we are satisfied of our stay. It is true the general appearance of the Pensionne is not inviting. But we were there because of the review. It is true service and... More

As the old adage goes . . .you can't judge a book by its cover. This is the same when picking a place to stay! This hotel nestled in a quiet neighborhood in the queen city of the south can prove that looks can really be deceiving . . . the facade may look old but once you get inside,... More

i chose a deluxe room in this hotel against a standard room in the mango hotel (i actually cancelled mango because it was not clear to me from the reservation if it was for one or for two) which was a mistake in hindsight. the room itself was ok to stay for a few nights. it is an old building... Stayed there for four days in November. Arrived at Cebu at around 5AM, had a breakfast in McDo and called the hotel for possibility of early check-in. unfortunately, all rooms were still occupied when we reached the hotel at around 8AM. Luckily, one of the guests checked-out early (around 9AM), and we were allowed to check in to the room... More

It's affordable & location is safer. It's a liitle walk to the main street at General Maxilum Avenue where the shops & bar are located. The room we stayed in the first floor was fine but the toilet is small & is'nt cleaned properly. Breakfast is included with 3 choices including traditional Filipino foods. Staff are very helpful & courteous. More
