This was a great place to stay and central to everything. The buses, trams and metro were easy to use. Learn the Russian alphabet as it makes life easier. The hostel was clean and easy to find. Choosing accommodation in St P & Moscow was the hardest part of my cross-Europe trip. I LIKE hostels but I also like to know that there are plenty of shared facilites.
