for the price and the location of the hotel this is one of the best choise you can make. forget the fancy room or loby or restaurent but you have a metro station in front of the hotel and you can be in the heart of the city in 5 minutes.....really good spot...... the breakfest is ok you hace everything... The hotel is clean and central. I give it 5 stars because the rooms are good and the staff efficient and it is an excellent location. The buffet breakfast are excellent - but the set dinner (I was in a tour group) were not good.

The Dostoevsky Hotel was a very good hotel in my opinon, the staff was very friendly indeed. It is situated in the middle of the city and close to cafeterias and shops. Breakfast was really good, a big range of different things to eat.

hotel dostoevskys best feature is the location. it is very good located not far from nevsky prospect. its clean. and cheap to be in st.petersburg. could be better, but could have been worse. electrisity went out, along with the elevators...took 30 min to get it back. not very good service
