Glass of champagne on arrival was well appreciated. Very comfortable light rooms, rather large for Europe. Very clean and well presented. Terrific breakfast. The staff were very helpful and eager to assist a great benefit for first timers. The location is unbeatable only 5 minutes from the Hermitage...what a wonderful experience, we were more impressed with the decoration ofnthe rooms... More

Overall the hotel is what you might expect for an 8 year old property that allows smoking throughout. It is Russia however, and that being said the hotel is nice and in a great location at a fair price. Fairly easy walk to many of the sites in St Petersburg and a fair choice of restaurants. No executice Lounge, however... More

The hotel is a very short walk from some great spots like the Hermitage, so I went for a look almost every day after work. Everything was nice in the hotel and the service was good. My only complaint was the cost of water (USD 13 per bottle) in the room, so find another source! The Concierge (they call it... More

From our arrival to our departure 3 nights later, we felt very comfortable in this well run hotel. Our room on the 5th floor had a king size bed which was both soft and firm, and the room itself was spotless. The restaurant was above average, the lounge bar welcoming and the facilities were almost faultless. Reception and concierge staff... More

TV from the 20th century, stains on the carpet, it seems that the hotel is about to implode under the weight of its own age. old-old-old, if you want a touch of the history, stay elsewhere (Rocco Forte Astoria, Grand Europe or newly opened FS could be an option). If you want a view, just book a table in Mansarda... More

Was a difficult choice to find the right hotel for our first visit to Russia and Saint Petersburg as there are many that have decent Trip Advisor reviews – and we had no idea what to expect. We chose the Renaissance Saint Petersburg based on its proximity (walking distance) to a number of attractions we wanted to visit and it’s... More

Were staying in Rennaissance Baltic Hotel in the end of January. Was quite cold outside and were spending few evenings in a hotel bar. The hotel is lovely. Rooms are nice and big enough. But prostitute in a lobby - that is too much! I tried to talk with people who work there and asked them what that kind of... More

Well located for trips around St Petersburg, ideal location of St Isaac's Chathedral. Staff attentive, expect the 250 rubles charge to be added for the visitor pass at the end of your stay. They organised taxi's and airport transfer, quite polite and generally very nice hotel. More
