You couldn't get a better placed hotel for exploring the heart of Petersburg. The staff are helpful and friendly, and while the hotel is not luxurious, the room and public areas were all spotless. Wednesdays they even lay on a traditional Russian tea with blinis! Thoroughly recommended

The Hotel location is good as it is only a 5-10 minute walk from Nevsky Prospect and we walked to the Marinsky Theatre from the Hotel where we saw a ballet that was in our opinion a better performance by far than the ballet that we saw at the Bolshoi in Moscow and the tickets were hundreds of dollars cheaper... Somewhat spartan, but decent breakfast and so very close to every major site in the city. Our daughter found a place not far from here - much nicer and about the same price. I'd check out a few more options before settling for this.

We stayed in a Superior room for 5 nights in June/July. The superior rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. The aircon is efficient and silent, and the staff are friendly and helpfull.
