The Peak Hotel exceeded our expectations! In every sense, it is a fully acceptable, superior, tourist-class hotel in Russia.
We traveled to Sochi (and Krasnaya Polyana) for two reasons. First, we're "adventuresome skiers," and, second, we wanted to do a little research into the place before we return for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.

Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad hotel. It's just not a four star hotel by European or American standards, whilst the rates are far from cheap.
In theory, it's all there. The fancy lobby, the nice looking suite, and (as far as Krasnaya Polyana goes) a good location. But in practice, the service is lousy at best, the...
