As the first big hotel in Guangzhou it has certainly had it's day but is a quaint 3 star best. To get to it ask the taxi driver to take you to 'Gwarnjo Pingwa'. Taxi drivers neither speak nor read English and for some reason even have trouble reading the Chinese version of this name. Mention it as phonetically and... More

Hotel is about 130 yuan by taxi from the airport. It is located right above line 2 of the metro which can connect you to other metros to get to practically anywhere in Guangzhou. The best thing about its location is its proximity to wholesale shopping places around Yide Road. Onelink Plaza with 8 floors of toys, accessories, furnishings at... More

Stayed there the week before Chinese New Year. Lots of touts outside the hotel. Near the One Link Wholesale place. Property is very dated, rooms have a musty smell & beds are rock hard. More

The hotel property is dated. However, the clean and comfortable bed and its spacious room may be the reason to stay here for its comparative price. The Reception Team at the counter speak limited English but are helpful and efficient. Checking-in process takes just a short while after your pp documents are copied. Prebooking is recommended for quick check-in. The... More

I have a china trip last March, I booked hotel via expedia with some discount code. The room is pretty old but it's big. the location is close to the subway and I can walk distance to Beijing lu walking street. there's a convenience shop close to the hotel, there's a big bridge across the big river in front of... While local Chinese hotels often have the reputation of not always meeting 'world class' standards, I was hoping that this hotel, for it's price would give me basic decent service and be clean. Wrong! We checked in late, 10pm, and found the room we were allocated HAD NOT BEEN MADE from the previous guests. It smelt like cigarettes and was... More

For me, the bad things about this hotel far outweigh the good this hotel may have. The hotel's location maybe next to the subway station and the airport bus stop but sadly, everything past these two points is down. This hotel looks like a 3-star hotel but sadly, the overall experience should be lower. I experienced two incidents from rude... More

We stayed at the hotel for the october 2010 and april 2011 canton fair. the hotel is very old. the lobby is always busy with local tourists. standard rooms are in dire need of renovation. they claim that the honored guest rooms are "newly renovated" but the furniture is already worn out. honored guest rooms on the 15th floor are...
