Stayed for more than a week at this hotel. It is my second trip and unfortunately it is way past its renovation date. Staying on Floor 7, the rooms are old and shabby, the carpet is really disgusting with stains and is sticky and clumped. The sheets are nice and the bed very hard, the shower and bathroom were very tired but functioning, bottles of water, and wifi mostly functioned. The best thing about this hotel is the hair salon in the foyer - Xing Chao Hair Salon which is absolutely fabulous. Opened from the afternoon to late at night, the staff there are great. They have a very competent senior stylist, and their prices are ridiculously cheap - 50 yuan for a wash, cut and blow dry. Worth staying in this hotel definitely for a visit to the salon. The breakfast is pretty atrocious, just bring your own museli and grab some fruit/yoghurt from the supermarket down the road. My air con didn't seem to function, but the weather wasn't particularly hot so it was ok.

Stayed here while in Hangzhou recently, I found the hotel to be pretty good. It was no fault of the hotel of having multi-level highways right at its door step. I had a room facing the highway but I did not hear any noises even during peak hours early morning when I can see long traffic jam from my window, so I guess the sound proofing was pretty good. I particularly like the design of the room whereby the toilet, shower area and dressing area all has its own glass door cubicle and the powerful rain shower was simply wonderful. Down side, the morning breakfast was touch and go, all simple local Chinese items with the exception of sausages and fried egg which I can live with but the coffee really sucks. No small table setting, all 10 seaters table so you will have strangers sitting next you almost as soon you think you sat down to a table all by yourself. However the Chinese restaurant on the 1st floor was top notch, authentic Chinese cuisine cook on order and the service staff was fast and polite. As everyone in China, very little English is spoken but the staff tried very hard.

Stayed in this hotel for just 1 night on a tour. Location of this hotel was at least half an hour from central area. The room was ok with rather comfortable beds. The TV had many channels but all locals. They also had a digital recorder which allowed guests to view TV programs recorded a few days back. There were 2 bottles of complimentary water. In room Wifi was very weak and connection got cut off very often. The shower was weak and water temperature just lukewarm. Breakfast was rather basic and mostly Chinese food. The saleswoman in the souvenir shop had the worst attitude I had ever seen. When we visited the shop and noticed they were selling Chrysanthemum tea, we asked her what the price was. She refused to answer and when we asked again, she said you guys bought already and just wanted to compare prices. You won’t buy. Given such an attitude, even though the prices could be cheaper, no customers would feel like giving her the business.

Adequate sized-room. Logical lay out with washing basin separated from toilet and a self-contained shower and bathtub; a plus for privacy. Brilliantly lit up highways within 500meters highlighted the night view. Traffic noise audible through the sliding windows despite double glazing. Clean bed sheets, firm supportive mattress and comfortable temperature conducive to good rest. Free internet access available. Ample number of TV channels for selection. Reasonable choice of average quality eastern and western buffet breakfast in a plainly decorated restaurant. Freshly fried eggs in different styles supplied non-stop. More than 30 minutes by car from city center and adjacent to the highway network. Noise from the traffic and karaoke won't stop an exhausted traveler from snoring; not so for poor sleepers though.

My grandmother, mother and I booked with a travel agency in Singapore for a trip in Jiangnan and the hotel we were staying at in Hangzhou was Junfu. It was originally meant to be a one-night stay but was extended due to itienary changes. I never knew what to expect on the hotel. The previous two hotels were horrible and average respectively, so I hoped that this was a more decent one. We arrived at the hotel at eight and the lobby had already left a good impresion on me - modern, furnished and very clean. Check-in was quick (nobody else was there) and we went up to our room. The room itself was lovely, like any other hotel room but a lot more bright and (somehow) colourful. Beds are rather comfy, and all basic amenties are provided. The toilet was medium-sized, but the only drawback was that the curtains weren't closed in the shower so one could directly see through the transparent window. It was a huge embarassment even though it was only my family members. The only hotel who made a ridiculously funny English error during our trip, this one for the shower cubicle: SLIPPY! The breakfast served the next had a variety compared to the average hotel in China. A waiter there was very warm and chatted with me. Though I didn't eat much, it was still a lovely selection. Other facilities the hotel included was a lobby lounge (closed during the whole time we were at the hotel), a salon in which my grandmother went there - I am unsure how she feels about it, a massage parlor, a KTV pub and a card room. All in all, the hotel was lovely, and considering the fact it was a 'four-star hotel' and 'budget' as stated in the tour itienary, it was of HUGE value. I'd definitely reccomend this to anyonde.
