Just as others have mentioned, this is not a Sofitel. There is nothing 5 star about it. The location is good, right across the road from the Westlake, but that’s where the positive ends. We stayed on the club floor due to the bad reviews, as we thought that by paying a little extra we might get a decent room.... More

Location is great but room is dated...the aircon in our room was faulty and it was so warm we couldn't sleep well all night. Though we were a couple they gave us a twin room (stating our room rate only entitled us to a twin room), a bit of flexibility would be appreciated here. More

It's definitely by fart no luxury hotel and doesnt fit into the Sofitel category. Wait for renovation before visiting. It has been mentioned for at least 3 years it ll be done, but nothing finally confirmed. Rooms facing Xi Hu road are very noisy late at night and early morning.
