It is average hotel, but it's location less than 400m from Railway Station makes it a perfect place to stay for one day visit to Kyoto. You can buy return ticket Tokyo-Kyoto with hotel price included. Good deal.

Very ggod sized rooms. Hotel is located across the road from the railway station which means plenty of food and shops or entertainment purposes. The batroom a bit on the small size. For a non-smoking room the presence of ashtrays made one a little suspicious of what goes on there. Breakfast not briliant, but OK

Excellently located, opposite the Kyoto Railway Staion, New Miyako was much better than I had expected. The rooms were basic, but the view from the windows was interesting, with the bullet trains zipping past in the distance every so often.
