First the good. The location is excellent. It's attached to the Kyoto JR station. The rooms are fairly large. We had a twin and it included a couch. There are also triple rooms here. If you get breakfast included in your room rate, you have a choice of a traditional Japanese set or a "western" buffet. But since this is... More

The hotel is attached to a mall, which houses a lot of bargain buys on the higher floors, a money changer, as well as restaurants if you ever get hungry. 24 hour stores are also available about 2 mins away, just at the back corner of the hotel. What really makes this hotel ideal though, is its location as it... More

Hotel Keihan is just down the road from Kyoto station. That is good for transport but has the disadvantage that you can hear the station PA system all day and all night. My companions and I had two single rooms and a double room, all non smoking, for three nights. Our rooms were small (that's usual for Japan) and had... More

The hotel was just what we needed for one night with three kids when we needed a place to stay near Kyoto Station. The hotel is on the bullet train side, so it couldn't have been easier to get to and from the train without any stress. Lobby/check-in: The check in process was seamless. The check-in lobby lounge area was... More

I spent one good night at this hotel. As usual in Japanese hotels there are beautyful and spacious common areas. I stayed in a clean and pleasant smokers single room with a view to the Kyoto Railway Station. To strangers in the city of Kyoto I strongly reccommend staying near this arcitectonic wonder (the railway station). Among other reasons because... More

Close to the Kyotostation and the shuttlebus to Osaka airport. Singleroom is small, but not to small, bed is hard but still pleasant. Food in the hotelrestaurant is not so great, coffeeshop is ok, but have to go through smokingarea to get in. Below the hotel are some nice restaurants, but going to Kyoto station and up in the departmentstore,... More

I chose this place for its proximity to Kyoto station, and the fact that it wasn't too expensive! You can take the underground walkway out of the station straight into the hotel, which was ideal for me dragging all my bags around with me. The room was small, but more than enough for just me. Breakfast was good too, with... More

Initially picked this hotel based solely on its location as needed easy access to the station for other trips I was making. Station is literally across the road from the hotel so perfect for me! The reception desk is located on 2F and staff were very friendly and helped me locate my room; I had a single room although small... More

Hotel is a little dated, but the room is still overall very clean and very spacious. They ran out of non-smoking rooms so the reception upgraded me to a 2 queen size beds but smoking one, but letting me check out the room first. There was no offensive smell at all throughout my 6 nights stay. Airport transfer by bus... More
