Clamdiggers is right on the beach. All the rooms are ocean front with private balconies. The rooms have refrigerators and microwaves. We Were Looking For A Local Place That Served A Variety Of Food. At This Place, That's All We Enjoyed (Except The Hushpuppies). The Service Was Horrible, It Was Over An Hour Before We Got Our Food. I Have Eaten Better Fish At LJS. We Won't Be Making This A Family Tradition.

We come every year. For $25 you get umbrella service for two days. It is peaceful and relaxing. You can get drinks and snacks at the pool bar including $1 hot dogs. The restaurant breakfast is great. Best of all is the view from the room and balcony. All rooms are oceanfront and the balconies are private. Cons: small bathroom.

The Clam Digger is a great place to stay if you want to park your car and not have to get in it again for the duration of your stay. After a long journey it was just lovely to arrive at a very reasonably priced hotel that is smack on the beach. The room is spacious and very clean. We has our own balcony and was able to leave the door open and listen to the crashing waves of a night time.
