My boyfriend and I stopped here after a miserable drive to see a show in Ashland. The man helping us was very friendly and made sure that we were comfortable, both in choice of room and cost. The motel is older, but charming. All of the appliances/amenities in the room worked and met our needs. For a one night stay,... More

Cute and quirky -- clean, too. But the bathrooms are miserably small. Stayed in Room 3. Toilet is wedged in a space only as wide as the toilet. A large person could NOT get in there. No electrical outlet in cramped bath (space measures 6x5 at most!) and few in the other rooms (two bedrooms and a kitchenette). Great location,... More

The Manor Motel has small cottage like rooms, many with kitchens. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were clean. Steve, the property manager, is very friendly and fun to talk to. We could walk to downtown to get to the restaurants and Shakespeare Festival theaters. If you don't mind having the basics and nothing fancy, this is a very good... More

Clean and friendly management but do not stay in Room #1. We don’t know if all the rooms are this bad but Room #1 was unfit for a guest room and should not be rented at all. The bathroom was freezing cold and the door didn’t latch closed. There is no light switch on the wall of the bathroom –... More

This was our second time staying at the Manor Motel. We've stayed at other places for a comparable price but found this quaint gem and really enjoyed our stays. We enjoy how close it is to the Shakespeare Festival. It's an easy 10-15 minute walk. (Did it in 15 with my 6 year old - that's how close it is.)... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Manor Motel in Ashland for the Shakespeare Festival. We had a two room suite with a kitchenette. Couldn't beat the price.. AND there really were no musty, old, or cigarette smells. Plenty of towels and a large bathroom with tub. An oldie but a goodie! The manager, Steve, was exceedingly accomodating and friendly.... First of all I'd like to say that the fellow, Steve, who manages the place is really nice and accomodating. There is also a great picnic area where you can take you dinner, coffee or just go hang out there. The kitchen in our unit was also nicely stocked with pots, pans and everything you need to do meals there.... More

My wife & I have recently stayed at the "old" motel (our 2nd time) on Main St. It is very clean and does not smell of old cigarettes or cleaning solution. The rooms are in the process of being upgraded. Our main room was a bit dark due to one front window, and the bathroom was tiny, but that was... More

The Manor Motel provided us simple, clean, quiet lodging with a full kitchen at an unbeatable rate for staying in Ashland during the Shakespeare Festival season. The motel has a "vintage" sign that could give the first impression that the hotel will be "musty and hokey" -- but it's not. It had a mix of older and newer furnishings/fixtures but... More
