When we visit Alpine several times a year and we always stay here. We have stayed at other places in Alpine but they don't compare to the great atmosphere and friendly staff here. The rooms are clean and the bed very comfortable. Great continental breakfast with cozy patio and home environment! We will continue to choose this place first if... More

Room was very cozy and a great location being that my son is a DJ at the bar right next door (Eskimo Hut ). Will definitely be back. More

This is a well done upgrade of a 50's motel. The room was small by todays standard but the furnishings are 1st class western reproductions. Our bed was very comfortable and the bedding was first quality. A local restaurant with excellent service and menu was recommended. More

We were on the road for seven weeks and found this motel to be less comfortable than most of the places we stayed in. The reception lobby is stylish and renovated, but our room was quite small and dated. The Western motif was nice, but we found the "creature comforts" somewhat lacking. The bathroom was one of the smallest we've... More

Dave, I sincerely apologize that The Maverick Inn was "less than expected" for you. It is our sincere desire to be a unique destination for the "wandering traveler" and strive to meet those needs. We do appreciate your comments and time for the review and will meet the challenge you presented us. Respectfully, Mark Spring Manager More

Dear West Texas Traveler, Thank you for the kind remarks and your attention to detail. I am happy to let you know that we are coming in with sound barrier curtains for that street noise and are pushing for a silent zone for all of Alpine on the trains. I am also happy to inform you that we have upgraded... More

It's a cozy courts with a western motif. It's cute, but the street noise is loud, since the units are right on the main drag of Alpine. And the train tracks that run in the back of the courts make for loud train noises throughout the night. Nice mattress and linens. Good towels. Not so fresh continental breakfast. Friendly staff.... The Maverick Inn is really a motel, right beside the highway, with the train track two blocks away. There are quite a few trains that run through this town, particularly late at night. Our room was absolutely charming, clean, and well-appointed. Our car was parked so close to our window we could lock it using the remote from inside the... More

From the moment we pulled up and saw the cute sign to the warm greeting in the office we had a great stay. There are only about 25 rooms but they all have a unique southwestern feel. The rooms are equipped with very nice amenities (comfortable bed, great heat / AC unit). Both the Southwestern feel and the quality of... More

We were traveling to Big Bend, and wanted to stop and see the Marfa lights. We brought our 2 dogs along on vacation with us this time. We stayed at the Maverick Inn, and were so happy we did! The room was decorated very cute, and was comfortable. Our dogs were given their own bed, and some treats, a nice... More
