This is basically a convention hotel surrounded by medical practices not far from a dirty beach and away from ALL major attractions in the city - in theory and in practice, not the best choice for tourists in Salvador or those visiting it for the first time, it's a fact. No wonder it is often busy with congress members, groups from other states or patients from the hospitals and clinics nearby. That being said, it is not a bad hotel at all, though some update and renovation is urgently needed. Staff is most kind and friendly, be it reception, housekeeping or restaurant. Rooms are large and comfortable, breakfast is assorted, parking is available at a (high) fee. TV has tons of channels, internet works really great, the pool is not to be missed. This was my third time in the hotel and each had a fulfilled purpose. Just make sure it is the right choice to meet your purpose.

Response from Departamento Vendas, Vendas at Fiesta Bahia Hotel
Responded 24 Feb 2023
Thanks for the rating and comments, Mr. Victor. We are glad that you returned to our hotel for another stay and that you were satisfied, especially for the cordial service of our employees, diversified breakfast, spacious rooms, meticulous cleanliness, variety of TV channels, excellent internet and our semi-Olympic swimming pool. Our guests love the location of the hotel, precisely because it is in a central location in Salvador, with restaurants and shopping malls around and with easy access to anywhere in the city, whether for tourism, leisure or business. Fiesta is the most traditional hotel in Salvador and is undergoing several updates, as you can see in our rooms, lobby bar, restaurant and saunas. Soon we will have other news. We Wih you come back soon. Att, Quality Manager

Advertised as a 5 Star on Booking.com, it is a 2 Star at best, Crowded reception, No social distancing, Restaurant closed for a function so only a few tables available by the pool, food awful and not as advertised on the menu, one item advertised with prawns but just 8 dry maize balls served unaccompanied. Pizza served in a box, Elevator queues because each elevator has an operator inside with a chair meaning less space and no social distancing, no masks used anywhere by staff. Rooms dated, A joke

Response from Departamento Vendas, Vendas at Fiesta Bahia Hotel
Responded 18 Aug 2022
Dear Mrs. In Brazil, there are government agencies that are responsible for awarding stars to hotels and that is how the Fiesta's 5 stars were achieved.´ Crowed reception is a sign that, as it is a good hotel, it is full. Sometimes, when the guestes arrives at the same time, we have a lot of people in our reception. The rules regarding social distancing have already been relaxed, but our employees continue to wear masks, despite the fact that even on planes it is no longer necessary to use them. We are sorry that our food, always so praised, was not to your liking. As the hotel was full, elevators were controled by operators to control the flow of people, because, in general, people don´t obey the maximum allowed limit. We're sorry we didn't meet your expectations. Att, Quality manager

This hotel can be considered well located if you are traveling by car or if you have no problem taking a taxi, uber or similar, all of this because, although the neighborhood is good, it does not offer any of the attractions of Salvador by foot. Aware of that, you can come, but pay attention, don't expect too much, the accommodation is good but old, the lobby is large but dark, the breakfast is relatively full of food but always crowded and in order to get one "tapioca" or an omelette this will require some of your patience in the row. I tried to go to the gym but even during the pandemic it was full of people, maybe because of the location next to the pool or even because of the usual number of guests at the end of the year. Even so, we were well taken care of during the period we stayed at the Bahia hotel and I would return without any major problems.

Thank you so much for your rating and comments. Fiesta Hotel is located right in the center of Salvador, with grate access to all tourist attractions, from Pelourinho to Lagoa do Abaeté or even from Farol da Barra to Farol de Itapuã. In fact, to get to know all the sights of the city, you will need a car, regardless of the place you choose to stay. Our hotel has a classic style and all rooms are been renovated. We hope to surprise you in the next opportunity. In fact, at this time, in summer, we have a lot of clients in vacation and we´ll be glad if our clients undertand this. We wish to see you soom. Unfortunately, my wife and I experienced more cons than pros: 1. Only 1 of 2 room keys worked even after swapping twice 2. Outlets only on 1 side of bed - hotel offered extension cord 3. No complimentary water even though check-in person said so - water was delivered but required purchase 4. Shower was good 5. No instructions for safe - needed a maintenance call to operate 6. Only 1 towel in room - needed to call twice in 2 days to get more 7. Internet did not work for more than about 5 minutes - even following maintenance call to reset the router 8. Original language sound on TV not available on most channels. 9. There was a definite mold smell in the room 10. Floor was not cleaned 11. Toilet did not flush fully - often took 3 or 4 flushes 12. No in-room extra blanket - yet another housekeeping call 13. Breakfast buffet was good

My wife and I have got delighted with quality enhancements being made within 3 years. MD Carlos Teixeira’s willingness leads to success owing to enhancing the staff quality maintaining friendliness, cleanliness of the rooms and the hallways. At breakfast it has been offered a plenty variety of tropical food and an astonishing jackfruit also “pao farofa” - a kind of sweet bread with flour on top of that - marvellously soft bread. Surprisingly the hotel has offered a makeup stand in addition customising “abadás” - bright coloured costumes worn by the ones during carnival parade. There have been improvements in the Internet speed wi-fi, tv channels (now over 70 channels some of them in Spanish, French, English, even in Japanese!).

Carlos Teixeira such a restless MD, besides being an outgoing person, he also is so dedicated to bring the nicest atmosphere to each guest! Last week was fourth time we visited that hotel, my wife and I were surprised with the quality improvement had taken there! What seemed to be good since last year has become even better. We are wondering what has got more to come... Strongly recommend that place to spend some time off! Cannot wait to be there again!

We stayed at this hotel in January 2018 and again this year. The excellent quality of service has been kept. Why we enjoy this hotel? Friendly staff, large and comfortable rooms, large pool with sufficient places to relax. Breakfast is a treat including a good selection of tropical fruits, warm dishes, cold cuts and cheeses, local Bahian specialities, a variety of juices and ... champagne. The hotel is not near the beach, but it is conveniently located next to Itaigara Mall. Pelourinho, the historic heart of Salvador, is about 30 min by car or taxi.

This hotel is well located with a nice swimming pool and gym center. The rooms as clean and spacious. The room service was quick and efficient and the breakfast (included on their rate) was super diverse with lots of options with tropical fruits, juices, breads and other continental options mixed with regional options. Grade A for variety and Grade B for taste. Maybe on a quest for variety the taste suffered a little.

Fiesta Bahia Hotel is an 1980/1990's style property, but is well maintained, clean, well located and has an excellent cost-benefit. Stayed for 3 nights for a fare of USD60/night! Breakfast is good and provides a good assortment of local specialties, such as tapioca, cooked banana and student's dough. Room is large with a nice view of Itaigara district, with a shopping mall and some restaurants just across the street. Distance to main attractions, naming Pelourinho and Farol da Barra requires a cab in a 30 minute trip, but is worthy. No doubt to return soon to this hotel.
