It's a charming home-like converted colonial hotel. Rooms are air-conditioned but otherwise it's warm. Lovely breakfast and great service, very polite and pleasant staff. Close to Fogo do Chao - Brazilian steakhouse!

I have been for five days in thes small hotel-pousada. Inside, it's ok. But, outside, it'n't. It's not a safe place. There is a guard with keys on the extern door. If you need to go in with emergency, you need to be very patient. The next beach, not far, there is'nt with clean water, clean people, dangerous place, etc....

The hotel is nice from the interior. The location is good, nice neighbourhood, good restaurants. Beware of a room next to the street. It can get very noisy of the traffic outside. Also: in the weekend you may hear loud music from the pub on the opposite of the hotel.

We were there in December of 2003. The hotel is small and personal, with artisitic touches throughout. The desk man, Marcos, speaks very good English.
